Verbatim DVD-R's MCC 03RG20

Recommended Posts

Just received some Verbatim DVD-R's. Never purchased any before but I heard they were good and my experience with their DVD+R DL's has been good. Only 1 bad burn in 100, I think. Anyway was wondering if they were the good Verbatims if there is such a thing as not good Verbs. :) The Manufacturer ID is MCC 03RG20.

Thanks!

Those should be pretty good, I prefer the +R flavored ones, but I've used the -R before and they aren't too shabby.

Yeah, DVD-R is a personal choice for me. I tried DVD+R as my first burner actually. Didn't know there were even two different kinds of discs back then. But, I had to get a DVD-R drive because DVD+R wouldn't read in my DVD TV recorder. So, I've stuck with DVD-R's as they seemed more universal to me. DVD+R usually offers the faster speeds first, but, I don't particularly care for a faster speed if I can't get as much compatibility out of them.

Even with bitsetting your players don't like the +R?

NVM..I just reread what you wrote, you are using a standalone DVD recorder. I've heard they are trickier to satisfy than simply a DVD player.

I never used DVD+R after 2002, when they didn't have bit setting,or, at least, my HP drive didn't offer that.
