To start with please bear in mind that I totally technologically disadvantaged.
I have used Imageburn sucessfully on a number of occasions for burning home movies from my hard drive to a DVD but tonight I have tried 5 times without success.
I have a number of home movies on my hard drive that I the copy onto a DVD+R disc. Tonight I go through the whole process of burning and verifying and get the "Operation sucessfully completed" sign with a pleasant jingle. This is the reason why I cannot attach the log as the completed sign and jingle come up as soon as the process is completed. When I go to my DVD player to play the disc I get the message "Unknown Disc - please check disc again". On my other DVD player I get the message "NO Disc" and it ejects the disc.
Please can you help.

As ImgBurn doesn't convert anything, your files must be in DVD Video format already (i.e. a VIDEO_TS folder containing IFO/VOB/BUP files) or your player needs to support playing the type of files you're burning to the disc (AVI files or whatever).

If you want to convert your files (I assume they're AVI files or similar) into something that's in DVD Video format, use something like DVD Flick or ConvertXtoDVD.
You're also using an old version of ImgBurn, you should update.

A stupid question. Do I have to intialise the disc on my DVD player before placing it in my laptop to burn a movie to it?

That log shows you aren't burning a DVD Video disc... and that's why it's not playing (refer back to my original post please).
If you want to convert your files (I assume they're AVI files or similar) into something that's in DVD Video format, use something like DVD Flick or ConvertXtoDVD.
I might have been able to say that with more certainty if you actually told us more about the files you're burning.
Get us a screenshot showing the folder structure / files names of what's on the disc please.

You can only have 1 VIDEO_TS folder on a disc and it needs to be in the root folder (what's the 'Videos library' bit I see there?).

The "Videos Library" is a file where I store all my videos. There is also a "Pictures LIbrary" where I store all my photos and documents etc.. When I click on the start button there is a "Pictures" file. If I click on this I get 4 libraries - Documents, Music, Pictures and Videos.
Its getting a bit late here so I will try what you tell me to do tomorrow night.
Thanks once again for all your help.
Kind Regards,
Richard.
