I was trying to download the newest version of the burning program yesterday. I don't recall which of the mirrors I tried, it was near the top of the list. It waited and waited until I got fed up and stopped it. Suffice to say, it didn't download. What did happen though, is a peculiar icon appeared on my desktop. No image, just the windows default, with two short rows of "chinese" characters underneath.

Floating the cursor over it, right clicking it etc. causes the hourglass pointer to appear, and sit there for a couple of minutes. The desktop directory also has an entry, same "chinese", proclaiming to be a zero size file, (not "shortcut"), which also shows the abherent behaviour if you try to investigate it. Avast scans the directory without issue.

This morning, I downloaded the new version without incident.

Sorry, I've no idea what that could be.
Please don't PM me with questions that should be posted in the forum. I won't reply - Especially if you have post count of 0!!!

In fact, don't PM me at all unless it's something I've asked to be told about!

Before asking questions, search the forum to see if someone else already has.
