Newbie quick question burn issue

Chances are your polaroid doesn't like the media.

Other brands - what media are you using? Whats the MID Code?

could be a couple of things the media that you use for one, the player doesn't like it BTW what are you using?
you could also try to change your media (+ format ) to dvd rom if your dvd burner supports changing the booktype settings .
if you have a log of the burn that would help a lot it would answer the above questions .
I burn to Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden discs and havent found a player that doesn't like them

Mr Guttz, are you sure that portable player is compatible for playing RW discs? I think it might only play DL and SL -R or +R discs correctly. What does the manual say, any mention of RW discs or just ones with the DCD Video emblem, which might mean it won't reconize the RW's your using.

The TDK is DVD-R, it doesn't have a RW logo, but the SOny DVD+R does have an RW. What does the RW mean, the disc isn't listed as erasable.
