When I burn a disc using imgburn, i have no problem playing it on my home dvd players, but when I try to play it on my Polaroid PDM-0723 I keep getting "bad disc". Can anyone tell me if I am setting something up incorrectly.

Thanks,

Keith

Chances are your polaroid doesn't like the media.

could be a couple of things the media that you use for one, the player doesn't like it BTW what are you using?

you could also try to change your media (+ format ) to dvd rom if your dvd burner supports changing the booktype settings .

if you have a log of the burn that would help a lot it would answer the above questions .

I burn to Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden discs and havent found a player that doesn't like them

I use either TDK DVD-R or Sony DVD+R. These disks both have an RW on them.

Mr Guttz, are you sure that portable player is compatible for playing RW discs? I think it might only play DL and SL -R or +R discs correctly. What does the manual say, any mention of RW discs or just ones with the DCD Video emblem, which might mean it won't reconize the RW's your using. :)

Verbatim DVD+R DL recommended for proper dual layer burning.

The TDK is DVD-R, it doesn't have a RW logo, but the SOny DVD+R does have an RW. What does the RW mean, the disc isn't listed as erasable.

it supports everything but RAM

"CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD+R, CD"

you'll have to find a media thats compatible with that player .Some can be picky about what they will and wont play
