	I'm not sure if this would be called a bug but I believe it is and it needs to be addressed. I burned some very small files to BD-R at less than 100 bytes a file. The bottom DLE pane shows this as  being 0 KiB in size while the top pane shows the same files as being 1 KiB in size. Now, we all know neither of these is 100% accurate. But when I just noticed this issue this morning it scared me. So, I went back to look at the file sizes on the actual finished product, the mastered BD-R and the files were burned properly. I thought something may have gone wrong.
</p>

<p>
	And lastly, this issue was observed after loading "Most Recent Project" so, while the file sizes may have been reported accurately before the save/load cycle they aren't reported properly afterwards. Small bug, should be really easy fix.
</p>

<p>
	But my recommendation is to round up versus rounding down even on files so small.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks for reading!

	I don't know how it happens but sometimes the incorrect icons are shown for the corresponding file extension types. For instance, my default player for .mp4 files is VLC. The representing icon should be the orange "traffic cone" but it's not. Now, when I right-click the entire line in the DLE and select properties, that window still shows the properly configured icon which is the orange traffic cone.
</p>

<p>
	*EDIT for completeness*: This mismatched icon between file extension types is only mismatched in the conceptual view (if you will, will you?) of the DLE, not the top.left actual file explorer view. All those icons still match up properly with their corresponding extension types.
</p>

<p>
	*EDIT # 2: More good news. I just realized that the icons being shown in the authoring view of the project files are the very first icons on my desktop. So yeah, this looks like some kind of indexing error (from a programming perspective). While I only have 3 different extension types in my project, I'm guessing the software is indexing (inproperly) into a master Windows icon database and using the same indexes versus the "absolute" indexes that would be required to match these up right.
</p>

<p>
	It's just a nitpick bug that I wish would get fixed. It doesn't really effect anything seriously as far as mastering discs go, but hey, it's a bug, and bugs are nasty and we should exterminate them. So, I'm reporting the bug.
</p>

<p>
	On a related note, are we any closer to a new release of this software than we were a year ago or is it just kinda suspended in an infinite state of "unknown"?

	I've got 2 different folders I wanted to add to a project.  One in a folder called 2 and one in a folder called 3.  2 and 3 have the same folder structure except one subfolder is labeled Disc 1 Of 2 in 2 and the other is labeled Disc 2 Of 2 in 3.  I dragged and dropped the subfolder in 2 to the project, but dragging and dropping the same folder in 3 wants to replace the contents already existing in 2.  Wants to overwrite the contents of Disc 1 Of 2, which there is NO Disc 1 Of 2 in 3, only in 2.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I triple checked.  The contents in 3 are NOT entirely the same as in 2.  There is the Disc 2 of 2 folder in 3 and there is NO Disc 1 Of 2 in 3.  I triple checked to make sure I was dragging the folder from 3 and not 2.  I was.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I repeated this several times and got the same result.  I closed ImgBurn, reopened, and repeated.  Same results.

	This happens only rarely, but it does occasionally happen.  Because it is so rare, it seems impossible to debug such an issue.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	What happens is sometimes in Build mode, dragging and dropping a folder into the Project does not add the folder.  Instead what gets added are all of the files and subfolders in the ImgBurn installation directory.  So, files like ImgBurn.exe and other executables get added.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	This just happened to me for the first time in a long time, but it does occur from time to time.  What generally happens is deleting those ImgBurn folder files and dragging and dropping the same folder again works.

	This isn't really a bug, per se.  More like a request to adjust disc type determination logic.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Here's the scenario: I was trying to create a DVD Video disc with a VIDEO_TS in the root directory.  The root directory also had an AVI file in it.  ImgBurn detected the VIDEO_TS folder and then asked me if I wanted to make a DVD Video disc, which I said yes to.  ImgBurn THEN detected the AVI file and asked me if I wanted to make a Divx Disc.  I said no to that.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Should the ImgBurn logic in this case determine if the user makes one choice, like in the above situation, it should refrain from asking to change the disc type again?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks!

	ImgBurn is no exception to that rule when burning double-layer medias.<br />
	<br />
	When the program needs to change from the 1st layer to the 2nd layer WHILE being in the process of burning a peculiar file, often a LARGE FILE, then, either the burning program will CRASH during the burning process and right at that exact moment, OR that peculiar file, which has actually been SPLIT between the 1st layer and the 2nd layer of the media during the burning process, will become unusable, like, for instance, it will become impossible to COPY that peculiar file from the media BACK on the hard disk drive of the computer <span>(</span>copying that peculiar file will always "fail" exactly at the moment when the process of reading that peculiar file on the media reaches the end of the 1st layer of the media), or for instance, if it's a video file, the reading of that peculiar file will stop and freeze.<br />
	<br />
	The developers of "burner programs" all fail at managing that very issue.<br />
	The solution to that issue is simple though, you need to actually determine in advance WHAT IS GOING TO BE BURNED ON THE 1ST LAYER and WHAT IS GOING TO BE BURNED ON THE 2ND LAYER, EITHER by creating and using an algorithm which can automatically generate "2 SUBDIVISIONS" of a specific "COLLECTION OF FILES", each of these "2 SUBDIVISIONS" being able to be entirely contained on ONE SINGLE LAYER of a specific media, OR by leaving the manual management of these "2 SUBDIVISIONS" to the user of the program, and eventually include in the "burner program" a series of WARNINGS to prevent the user from PREPARING a SUBDIVISION which exceeds the capacity of ONE SINGLE LAYER of the double-layer media which is going to be burned.<br />
	<br />
	That's all what needs to be done to finally solve that double-layer issue.
</p>

	I downloaded an album which consists of one large FLAC file plus .cue. ImgBurn wrote it to CD-R successfully. However I noticed an issue with the CD Text data, at least when played in my car CD player. The .cue file contains a single PERFORMER line before the TITLE, FILE and TRACK lines.
</p>

<p>
	When I play the disc, on the CD player LCD the artist/performer shows "No Artist" for every track.
</p>

<p>
	Here's an extract from the .cue file:
</p>

<pre class="ipsCode">PERFORMER "Bambee"
TITLE "Fairytales"
FILE "Bambee - Fairytales.flac" WAVE
  TRACK 01 AUDIO
    TITLE "Cowgirl"
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
  TRACK 02 AUDIO
    TITLE "Dr.Doolittle"
    INDEX 01 03:22:02
  TRACK 03 AUDIO
    TITLE "Seventeen"
    INDEX 01 06:23:12</pre>

<p>
	So PERFORMER is specified once, not for every track.
</p>

<p>
	I modified the .cue file to duplicate the PERFORMER line for every track entry, and burning a disc using the modified .cue file showed the artist text for each track on the player LCD.

	It's likely that ImgBurn will receive no more updates since it's been 9 years? Either way I love the app!
</p>

<p>
	<span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">If there is an update, I'm hoping you would be open to adding support for mounting cue files that utilize "CDI" mode as defined in the CDRWIN CUE specifications (mmc3r10g specifications, page 223, Table 240 - Disc Type Byte Format). Essentially - adding support for this cue type:</span>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#222222;font-size:small;">FILE "track1.bin" BINARY<br />
	  TRACK 01 CDI/2352<br />
	    INDEX 01 00:00:00</span><br />

</p>

<p>
	This is the proper spec for Philips CD-i cue files. Currently such cue files need to be manually edited to replace "CDI" with "MODE2" to get them to burn. I was initially hesitant to make such a request because it admittedly IS an easy userside fix, but as a Philips CD-i afficionado I'm often seeing users complain that they can't burn their CD-i .bin files even though the "CDI" is proper for the cues to use in this instance, and there are thousands of Philips CD-i bin/cues out in the wild.
</p>

<p>
	Thank you guys for this fantastic piece of software!

</p>

<p>
	Since I'm using an external Blu-Ray drive, I don't have to restart my computer to get ImgBurn working again though. I do still have to kill it using Task Manager, but if I unplug the drive and plug it back in, it works fine again.
</p>

<p>
	To try and troubleshoot, I changed the default SPTI option and made it address the drive by <strong>Letter</strong>, see the screenshot below. I also added AWS profiles for the types of media I use that default to the actual maximum speed of those discs instead of leaving them at AWS (MAX) - so it now says AWS (6x) or AWS (4x) etc. That appears to have fixed it, I'm pretty sure it was the SPTI change that did it though.
</p>

<p>
	I've burnt a half dozen discs since then without closing ImgBurn and it hasn't gotten stuck on the "Querying Device Advanced Settings..." prompt a single time since then. Before it would get stuck every other disc I tried to burn.

<p>
	After the failed burnings, I saw that ImgBurn shows wrong disc size. 50.000.000.000 Bytes would be 46,56 GiB.<br />
	Unfortunately, I added more files than this capacity. ImgBurn didn't complain and even showed more MB of free space.

<p>
	Is there some wrong information within ImgBurn about the size of a BD-DL disc? It shows almost 1 GB more available space.

		Disable and then enable the drive from Device Manager.  Continues to hang.
	</li>
	<li>
		Kill ImgBurn from the Task Manager.  Then restart ImgBurn.  Will get stuck in the same place every time.
	</li>
	<li>
		Reboot the computer.  This resolves the matter for a few burns.
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	This drive is getting old and I'm happy to replace it to resolve the matter.  However, I'm filing this as a Bug Report because the behavior is surely not intended.
</p>

<p>
	ImgBurn is otherwise a great product.  Thanks in advance for your assistance!

	The software works flawlessly (thank you) but for the Label/Name shown under "Drive 1 - Info" in the log (and under Destination in the drop down menu) is identified as <strong>ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ ÿÿÿÿ (D:) (ATA)</strong> instead of the name as per the device driver which is: <strong>HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH24NSC0 ATA</strong>. Is this just a case of my DVD Drive not being in the software's library or is there perhaps a corrupt registry entry?

<p>
	Thank you!!

	I suspected the new version of ImgBurn v2.5.8.0 is not working with my old dvd recorder that wrote in UDF 1.02 format on a DVD+RW.<br />
	<br />
	The disc was so messed up that the old recorder would not able to erase, and so I resorted to scrub (full erase) the disc with older v2.4.4.0.<br />
	<br />
	Sure enough, the format error was cleared and the dvd recorder was able to write/read and erase without rejecting my disc. <br />
	<br />
	Maybe this info could help some of the readers to fix similar format/erase problem...<br />
	<br />
	The older version was difficult to locate since many places archived the old installer which would look up the current latest version to install...<br />
	<br />
	Is there an official archive where we could download the old executables?<br />
	<br />
	Best of luck

	I have a 64-bit laptop running Windows 7.
</p>

<p>
	I am generating cue files and editing the Track Listing output to make labels.  The audio is in .flac files generated by Audacity.  I tried converting them to .mp3, and it made no difference.
</p>

<p>
	More often than not, the Track Listing file from ImgBurn contains filenames where the titles should be except for the last file or two, and Performer info is missing.
</p>

<p>
	Example:
</p>

<p>
	==========
</p>

<p>
	Pastor Marc Aube, Springfield Assembly of God - 2021.09.05AM Move with Mercy (Lk 18.9-14,36-39; Mt 24.12; 14.14-18; 15.22-24; 9.36; Heb 2.18; Mk 7.24-25; 10.13-15; Col 3.12-13) (71:23:28)
</p>

<p>
	01 - 01-Since Jesus came Into my Heart (03:59:41)<br />
	02 - 02-God's Wonderful Peace (06:31:69)<br />
	03 - 03-The Only Real Peace (04:49:38)<br />
	04 - 04-God is my Refuge (02:44:29)<br />
	05 - 05-Offering - Pauline -NCS (01:00:14)<br />
	06 - 06-Offertory - The Lord is In This Place (00:55:62)<br />
	07 - 07-Missionary Offering - Pauline &amp; Sue -NCS,M9,M10 (00:26:17)<br />
	08 - 08-Offertory - The Lord is In This Place (cont) -NCS (05:09:15)<br />
	09 - Sermon (45:44:43)<br />
	10 - Closing Prayer (02:44:58)
</p>

<p>
	===========
</p>

<p>
	"07-Missionary Offering - Pauline &amp; Sue -NCS,M9,M10" is the file name.
</p>

<p>
	"Missionary Offering - Pauline &amp; Sue" is the title, verified by MP3TAG.
</p>

<p>
	====
</p>

<p>
	When I left the Performer and Title fields blank for Disc, the last two lines of Track Listing were changed thus:
</p>

<p>
	09 - 09-Sermon (45:44:48)<br />
	10 - Pastor Marc Aube, Springfield Assembly of God - Closing Prayer (02:44:63)
</p>

<p>
	"Pastor Marc Aube, Springfield Assembly of God" is the Performer for both tracks 09 &amp; 10.
</p>

<p>
	If I pass only the 1st 8 files to ImgBurn, and leave the Disc info blank, I get this:
</p>

<p>
	Unknown - Unknown (25:38:60)
</p>

<p>
	08 - Rod Lambert - Offertory - The Lord is In This Place (cont) (05:09:15)

	I don't know if this is a bug or not.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Begin by creating a job where the UDF Label is Test - Test.  Then, add a VIDEO_TS folder to the job.  ImgBurn automatically asks if you want to make a DVD Video and set the appropriate settings.  If you do, the ISO9660 Volume Label is populated with TEST - TEST.  However, the - is not an allowable character and must be changed to _.  However, if you do NOT set the UDF Label to Test - Test BEFORE adding the VIDEO_TS and letting ImgBurn make the appropriate settings changes, if you put Test - Test in the UDF Label field AFTER adding the VIDEO_TS and letting ImgBurn make the changes and you press the Copy UDF volume label to other file systems button on the right side of the UDF Label field, the ISO9660 Label field is populated with TEST_TEST, which is the correct, allowable entry for ISO9660.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	So, is the automatic changes that ImgBurn is making to the IS9660 Label when importing VIDEO_TS with an existing UDF Label correct or is it overlooking the unallowable characters when it should be automatically converting them like the Copy UDF volume label to other file systems button does?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks!

<p>
	I'm not sure this is a bug, but given what I believe, I think it is.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I was creating an image file in Build mode that was like 99% filling to a DVD-R.  (Well, the Disc Layout Editor said it was 99%.  Information said 100% with free space a little over 720K.  So, that may be a bug in its own right.)  Right at the end of the actual Build, ImgBurn tells me something I'd never seen before:  "You should have selected the MDS file and not this one.  I'll do it for you automatically this time, but don't do it again!"
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	As I said, I don't know if that's a bug, but that kind of error I'd have expected on loading an image file for Writing instead of during Building an ISO.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks!

	It's been 10 years. It needs a goddamned force close option. Even task manager when I hit the end, please be patient!!! No close. Even if I cant use the drive till after a reboot i want to close the program! When have you as a coder ever used a program, had it crash and thought, IT WOULD BE GREAT IF IT REFUSED TO CLOSE.

<p>
	The Digital-Digest installer here:
</p>

<p>
	https://imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
</p>

<p>
	After running, it says it created a PHP file to run to "Install ImgBurn" (is that not what an "Installer" is supposed to do???).
</p>

<p>
	If you click the Install Now button at the bottom, it only opens the PHP file, and displays <strong>the code</strong> from it, because of course, you need a PHP server to run PHP code, and what self-respecting denizen of freeware DOESN'T have a PHP server running in the background 24/7?
</p>

<p>
	Even if I rename the file to .HTM, it just opens a slightly "broken" Digital Digest webpage with no installer or download that I could see (see pic 2).
</p>

<p>
	I think you need to have a talk with your benefactor, and ensure that they are using a more viable "installer". You know, like one that actually INSTALLS something?

	I didnt accept the advert halfway through and when i finished installing it put bytefence antimalware, super-fast browser and chromium and chromium probably wasnt even the real google version probably some fake crap. I pressed do not accept the shit in the installer and i still had tons of shit on my PC.
</p>

<p>
	I understand why mbam deleted the installer and i had to add it to exceptions. Image burn please don't go down that road and only advertise things that you know are safe and legit. Also give the people installing it a choice whether they want it on there computer. You are probably loosing loads of people because they Anti virus is deleting the installer because of all the adware and stuff init.

<p>
	Hello! I noticed that not all the sectors at the end of a CD-R are being read, I noticed this when verifying disc images made by different programs such as Alcohol 120%. A screenshot and explanation of what seems to be happening here: <a href="https://github.com/claunia/DiscImageChef/wiki/Bugs-in-other-dumping-software" rel="external nofollow">https://github.com/claunia/DiscImageChef/wiki/Bugs-in-other-dumping-software</a> This only seems to happen with CD-R discs, and I've tested it on two completely separate drives and computers. EDIT: Log is of dumping a disc, I can provide one for verifying a disc too if you need it.
