As spinner said Imgburn has a running log of what is happening as well as the state of your PC while you are attempting a burn. If you don't see a log press Ctrl+L to open it, then retry a burn and post the entire log here in this thread. Id rather not waste another DL... It's not just with ImgBurn it's with any program. I'll try it with a regular dvd and get back t you with the logs

IB does a lot before it gets that far along and it does make a lot of log entries before it gets to this error point. Post what you do have up to this point. Nick, I did. Sorry just agitated with this burner at the moment so if I seem a bit rude I apologize. I clicked cancel the burn on Imgburn and it froze so I close the program through process on windows task manager. No logs were recorded. I gave it a few minutes before I did that though to see if it would respond and it didn't so I just closed it...

If it's protected by the author ImgBurn will not copy it. Post a log from the failure. Continue reading what I wrote. There was never an error log, it just stopped writing and the program kept running. And the dvd isn't copy protected.

    Sony DRX - 810UL

I would master SL DVD's before I dive into DL media as they are much less expensive to play with. I didn't say this was my first time burning... I just decided to upgrade firmware today and now I'm having an issue I can't solve. Thanks for the reply though.

    PS3 vs X-Box -- which way should I go?

Not saying I'm a corporate lawyer, but I dont believe that is illegal. They're only paying them to focus they're attention to BR format... Companies out bid for other companies business all the time so I'm almost positive that wouldn't be illegal. As for the PS3/Xbox360 question, I personally chose the PS3. Yes, some of the games may be short but what can you expect from designers? 1 the system hasn't been out nearly as long as the Xbox so a lot of the games that are out for PS3 now were rushed in the first place. Also the PS3 it's much faster in loading times things like that, has 7 controller capabilities, which I doubt anyone at all uses for 1 game at any given time, wireless internet, and double the memory space of the 360 even if you get the 40GB... And no the games dont take up that much room, but the PS3 is basically a computer that you can watch BR and play PS games on... you can load a windows OS onto it and make it that much better lol http://gear.ign.com/articles/614/614837p1.html http://www.gamespot.com/features/6125087/i....html?type=tech Don't get me wrong, the Xbox has some decent games out, but eventually all the same things will be on both platforms anyways... For the price you'll pay for a BR player you might as well get the PS3... The only thing I dislike about the PS3 is the PSN (play station network) they haven't worked out all the bugs yet and on rare occasions with certain games you can't get on, or it is really laggy and buggy while you are on. It normally doesn't happen if you have a decent network in your home, but there is that possibility. Think I've said all that I can say... GL and hope you enjoy your purchase if you haven't bought anything yet. Nick

    Sony DRX - 810UL

Hi, I just upgraded the firmware on my external Sony DRX - 810UL and now no matter what program I use it will get to either 3.2% or 3.4% completed during the writing process then stop doing anything... The first time this happened to me I let it sit for 5 hours and it didn't move at all. Of course I forgot to set a roll back point for the driver before updating firmware so now I feel that I'm stuck with what I've done. I was attempting to copy a DL DVD, I haven't attempted a regular dvd yet. Media I'm using is Verbatim DVD+R DL at 2.4X write speed. No error messages occur, it just stops doing anything what so ever. Anyone have any suggestions for me? Nick
