    The best DVD ripper

@Ch3vr0n OK... first sorry for the very delayed answer, didn't notice this post earlier. I don't know how you can tell DVDFab is just "crap". It is a pretty mighty solution to rip DRM-protected Blu-Ray (incl. 4K). I had never a Blu-Ray which isn't supported by it. And it's not really overcomplicated, it has a lot of functions, but since it is very intuitive with it's modular menu system, you can figure out anything in about 5 minutes. I'm aware that most of the ripping guys are using AnyDVD plus CloneDVD/BD since those programs are very nice and mighty too, but it's not fair to say that DVDFab ist just bullshit and for the garbage bin because it's expensive. By the way it is only slightly more expensive than the not really cheap collection containing AnyDVD and CloneDVD/BD. The modular-based DVDFab program has a lot of of moduls/functions which you just don't need to rip mediums and you don't need to buy them. The regular price (without offers and offs) is something around 200-300 euros and the AnyDVD-collection is almost 200 euro. I'm wondering too why you throw in "Nero". Nero is whole different thing and great for burning anything. While Nero can convert any video files nice to DVD and Blu-Ray, it is not very known for ripping them (afaik doable with the Recode-function).

    The best DVD ripper

DVDFab is a very nice software which allows you ripping from any kind of DVD Video or Blu-Ray with any DRM / copy protection. Also it allows you to copy them and if you would like to shrink a video DVD9 to DVD5, then it will do the job by recoding it for you (mostly decreasing the bitrate I guess). Have a try. The only thing it's pretty expensive. Handbrake is a very nice (and Freeware!) tool too and becomes really great in combination with AnyDVD or something else.
  3. Can you tell me how to enable the debug mode? I didn't find it in the settings on several tabs.
  4. Thanks for the reply. Yes, that random values aren't really unknown for me. But the negative 6300% didn't change on two DVD+R DL. To be honest I can't tell how it was in the past (long time ago I burned another DVD DL). But the discs is pretty fine. I checked them on multiple devices.
  5. I'm not sure if it's a bug but something was weird then I burned two DVD+R DL (Verbatim) using BE08LU20 (last firmware). It showed me a negative device buffer. It said '-6300%'. Does anyone what happened there? I've got two other small questions: 1. The device buffer is usually for a CD full at 25% and for a Blu-Ray 94%. Are those fine? 2. I burned today a data Blu-Ray and he lost the buffer twice (Waiting for buffers to recover...). He had to burn a lot of very small files. Is it possible that he lost the buffers because of that tiny files? The disc was fine during verifciation.
  6. Hi, I have burned a Video-DVD, a iso-file. This worked well, but now verifying is very slow. While verify he is getting a bit faster and faster. But the max-speed was only about 6.0 I have new installed Windows 7 x64, before (same OS) it was always very fast at a DVD. OK, this is the first burned disc but I am afraid. I am using the burner LG BE08LU and I am always taking Verbatim DVD+R 16x. Here is the log (I have aborted verifying and started again): I 16:00:06 ImgBurn Version 2.5.7.0 started! 7. *PUSH* Does ImgBurn now support multi track for mdf/mds? It would be great,
  8. DeamonTools burns only with money (registered). And Alcohol... ok, if I need, I will install this Anyway: I wish a little plugin for this support. That would be great. PS: What is multi track? If an Image edited more times? Please explain it short.
  9. Hi, I have an Image (mdf/mds) and ImgBurn supports only single tracks. But why? Why does ImgBurn not support mdf/mds with multi tracks? It is hard to suppord this? Or not possible? With UltraISO I can burn them without any problems.
  10. Hmm, do you think, I can use this DVD DL? Or is made in India bullshit? And thanks for the hint with firmware. I have applied it now to my external burner.
  11. Thank you Now I have bought Verbatim DVD's. But I am not sure, are these ok?: DVD+R Made in Japan DVD+R DL made in India I hope, I bought the right DVD's
  12. What can I take for DVD+ and DVD-DL+? Sony? Platinum? Verbatin?
  13. OK, thank you. I hoped, I can set always Auto. What can you or everyone recommend me please?
  14. But is this Image now ok? Because at the second retry I didnt get an error But.. I cant remember, he continued the closing.. Can I use this Disk now? I set "Write Speed" on auto. Cant ImgBurn recognise the max for the DVD DL? What can you recommend me for a) DVD DL +/- (I prefer +) DVD +/- ?
