  3. Hello my friend, i use dvd flick to convert my films, then burn them with imgburn which has been successful and the the calculator on imgburn tells you how much room you have left/used and the same with dvd flick. The thing is for some reason my files which are around 700-900 mb are converted to around 4gigs but when i put then into imgburn the files are massive. This happened when i first downloaded these programs and some how it seemed to correct itself but then i started having sound problems to which i have been advised to another program to help sort this, i just need to sort out this file siaze problem first. It normally converts to what disk option you picked within the conversion program, hope this helps as i to am new to these programs and never had any of this problem with nero 7. all the best C,hed.
  4. Thank you my friend, your advise has been most helpful and i will sort the file size problem out through DVD Flick and the sound problem with the other advice you wisely gave me, your knowledge has been most appreciated. Have a good one my friend and all the best, C,hed.
  5. Hello my friend, thank you for that tip i will check that out and hopefully sort the problem. I was just wondering about something, on the imgburn build window, on the top left you have where it says ( source ) in blue, and a window below that with an arrow which gives you a drop down panel. In this panel there is still projects that i had tried to burn previously in there and i thought this might be the problem why the files were to big for the DVD? anyway how do i clear this log in the drop down so that there are no projects in this section?? All your wisdom much appreciated my friend and all the best, C,hed.
  6. #39;( Hi friends, its took a while for me to figure this out but i had DVD Flick and IMGBURN sorted out to burn my files to DVD, then it all went wrong? First the sound was going super fast for the disk and i couldn't figure out why, and now every film i convert and then put into imgburn it now tells me the file is too big but its maximum size after conversion is 4gigs so theres plenty of room. This happened when i first downloaded these programs but i don't know how it corrected itself??? When i'm told the file is too big it asks if i want to continue anyway so i was wondering if it will burn what i need anyhow and just repeat itself with the spare room on the disk??? Any of you clever people know what has gone wrong or how to correct this problem, i would appreciate a wise mans/womans wisdom on this matter...All the best, C,hed....
  7. Hi friends, as i burn my home projects to dvd to watch on our dvd player i have no problem with the picture quality but the sound has gone completely mad and it all sounds as everything is going at least ten times faster than it should. It must be a simple error i am making but i just can't seem to find it as when its all burnt to disk it tells me that everything was successful?? Any ideas, "oh wise ones" all help would be most appreciated my friends.!!!!
  8. Hello my friend, thanks for that tip. I downloaded DVD Flick and this converted the files into a VIDEO TS folder, when i put this into imgburn it tells me there are 9 files with a total size of 4.03 gigs, i checked these files on vlc player and its the film in sections, when i click the calculate button the size becomes massive with a -minus in front of the number and tells me there is not enough room, i am asked if i want to continue and if i do it starts and states there is an error then asks to continue, retry or cancel but cannot get passed this. I was also told by someone that a video ts file is a div x file and none of our dvd's have this facility. What am i doing wrong...???
  9. Hi people, as you may guess i am very new at this so let me apologise as you must have heard this thousands of times but i'll try not to drag on. I have on my hard drive about 45-50 films downloaded mostly from the axxo site,as these come in one file i assume these are iso files?. I have read the guides and FAQ which seem to make me more confused. I bought this new pc which came with nero 7 and the films i tried to burn with this worked on our home dvd players fine, when i went to burn some more it told me my trial was up and to upgrade to nero 8 as everything but the nero dvd burning still works, i think it's the nero vision authoring program that was on trial?. Anyway i downloaded imgburn and this is when i started getting really confused, with nero it converted and burned the downloaded files in one go but this does not seem to. I have tried following the guides etc but mine don't seem to follow, i don't seem to be able to find the TS.VIDEO folder in the drop down and i tried following instructions to the letter. These downloads are dvd rips and then says AC3 after if this has got anything to do with it. I am not sure which i should go into, eg, write, build, create etc, but managed to put 6 films (700mb) each onto a disk but only play on a pc with VLC player? Also when i put the disk in the pc and see what's on it it tells me what films are on the CD and not DVD? i can't even remember how i done this as i must of wasted about 25-30 blank dvd's now and the kids want their films which is making the pressure on me unbelievable,(i have very needy kids). When i put it in the dvd it just tells me that the disk cannot be played. Please can any one tell me how to burn these downloads to dvd so they play on any dvd player and remember i am new at this and would like a detailed description on exactly on how to do this? I have gone into build, set the destination and the process stops near the end for some reason and asks me to retry, continue or close or has gone trough the whole process but will only play as stated above.. I now you who use this and now what your doing must think i'm really stupid,....and maybe i am but please help me, All the best and sorry if i dragged on...Cartoonhed. #39;( :&
