  1. I too coming here to see whats up as I have not been doing much burning as I pretty well just going the hard drive route with using my data. I now want to burn some 25gb blue rays to archive some things taking up too much room on my HD but dont want to just delete that data. So as a longtime imgburn user is this still best software to use for my archiving? Any new versions on the horizon? If so any interesting new features or fixes going on or as it all been done as far as imgburn author is concerned? TIA!
  2. Well I thought I post this follow-up on the 300 new Memorex replacement media I received the other day. The new 50pk packaging gave me hope that these wouldn't be the same media with Disc ID: MCC-004-00 I had so much trouble with. The new media are Disc ID: CMC MAG-M01-00. So far with 10 burns not one problem using max speed setting with my setup and I am at the moment completely happy with them. I also attaching a picture of the packaging as I am not sure what currently being sold in the stores so you can compare. Thank again for all the help.
  3. After following this thread I have a question about using the queue. Can I use it to add some folders with files to it where it would make each folder its own burn project? I have like 100 DVD sized folders that I would like to burn in the queue. I see now it only accepts a folder with am approved type file to drop that image to burn. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=930
  4. I use Alcohol 52% FE strictly for is mounting of the many different image files out there It handle them all well for me. I dont need any ripping functions. Also I use UltraISO as my building and converting image files. I used to see problems with SPTD driver but I find the newer versions seem to be much more stable on my systems. Do you know of a thread that has good info the SPTD issues your referring to?
  5. That's strange: even though you've selected 12x the burner only reached 6x. Do you have Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools installed? Have you installed the latest drivers for your motherboard's chipset? You should also check if you have the latest BIOS available for your motherboard model. I have Alcohol 52% for mounting images The Memorex media is apparently very iffy where a lot of burns have problems at the beginning of the burn and maybe the end. They having the same MID as my nice Verbatim media recently bought but of course the Verbatim media burns max speed no problem. Motherboard chipset has latest drivers and BIOS. I will try this week to get replacements for the 250 I have left and update info on that later. Thank for all the help from Lightening U.K mmalves and others.
  6. Just rechecked my supply 250 left now and all have same code from random checks on the stacks. I threw a ton of toasters away got tired saving them as memorex wanted me to ship back all the claimed defective disks for replacement. Also have about 80 DL memorex to test next. Think memorex would give me a replacement for all I believe I have all receipts? Think I would get back same media or something that will burn properly?
  7. Well whats not funny is I thinking now when I decided to stock up and buy 500 of the memorex media I was using mid code be sure I was buying something that I tested that was working. I was using verbatim media at the time as well

  15. Ok an update to my situation I own a stack of 100 VerbatimDVD+R and CDRs YEA! which serve me well and waiting to try some 8x DVD+R DL media which I now use for mastering my data. I also have 350 Memorex DVD+R 16x and 100 Memorex DVD++R DL media boo! which I have no other recourse other that to use them or trash them so trying to see how fast I can burn these reliably. I will now change the media speed on the Memorex 16 DVD+R to 12x and lower to 8x to see how that works. What speed is good for the Memorex DL media?
