  1. Well this problem has only started happening since i got a new computer, its a fairly old computer. This is the only PC i have access to unfortunately.
  2. Well i installed that firmware, restarted my PC and tried again, the same problem happened, but then i turned the drive off and on and it worked, which is further than i got before. This is the log of the one that worked, it finished the burn and after that it tried to read the dvd and froze again. the dvd came out okay though.
  3. I bought the drive seperatly, its an external one, i believe its one of these: http://www.liteonit.eu/optical-storage-dvd-rw-external/ Here is my filter driver list
  4. I don't know if my firmware is up to date. I 13:13:16 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started!I 13:13:16 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 13:13:16 Total Physical Memory: 915,952 KB - Available: 486,328 KB W 13:13:16 Drive G:\ (FAT32) does not support single files > 4 GB in size. I 13:13:16 Initialising SPTI... I 13:13:16 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 13:13:16 Found 1 DVD-ROM and 1 DVD
  5. Hi, im using version 2.4.2.0 and ever since i have got a new computer i cant seem to get it to work. Half the time it hangs on "getting book type" as soon as i open the program and when that works, it hangs as soon as it starts the burn (see picture). The only way to get the program to respond again is to turn off my dvd writer on the main power switch. Then when i turn it back on again, ImgBurn cant find it. Any ideas? Thanks.
  6. Thanks for your help! From now on i will burn everything slower. I have also just bought a new CD player and it seems to play all the CDs that my old one wouldn't, so i wont be having any issue with this anymore.
  7. Just tried the CD in my DVD player and the CD light lit up but it wouldn't play any music. I am using cheap CDs but i didn't think it would stop the CDs from playing altogether, when i used to use iTunes to burn the same CDs they worked perfectly every time.
  8. Dont i feel stupid! So, i tried again and the CD went okay and played on my PC but not at all on my CD players. Said "No Disc".
  9. 10. I just tried on my DVD player and it didn't work.
  11. I did a simple upgrade to the latest version and it seemed to get rid of the errors. I burnt the CUE but the resulting CD didn't work on my CD player or my PC. I have the K-Lite Codec Pack which includes: ffdshow audio decoder ffdshow VFW interface ffdshow video decoder

  13. Cheers for the guide, i must have been searching for the wrong things! The CDs worked fine on my PC so i guess they were data CDs...
  14. Hi, i have been told ImgBurn has this feature but whenever i try to create a CD it wont play on my old CD player which definitely doesn't support MP3s. Am i doing something wrong? Thanks.
