  1. DVDFlick is not meant to remove DRM copy protection on " purchased, downloaded WMV movie ". And from your experience it is obvious that it cannot. Again... its copy protected!! DVDflick is not built to circumvent such protection, and so you got a scrambled image, so why keep trying with DVDflick?? I assume (from what I've seen in this forum at least) that the author of ImgBurn does not wish this to become a discussion on the removal of copy protection, which is what this topic will become. There are programs which "play" the file and allow you to "capture" the images being produced in real time. But they're not related to Imgburn or DVDflick. Search!! PS Apologies LUK!, we must have been responding at same time... yours was much more concise
  2. I agree with MR Netmas Future (sic), but only to a point. Not every answer should be "Google is you friend", fair enough. But boards are not meant to answer any question that a passer by might wish to throw in either. Its all voluntary anyway, so it would save everybody time and effort if questions that can be found elsewhere and easily through a search, are in fact searched elsewhere. Sure social skills are important, but so is not abusing the privilege of free use of boards and the help which is given freely by dedicated people who would rather work with those who have at least made an effort to read guides and other material freely available by clicking a search button on the board itself. I have literally spent hours sometimes trying to guide someone (on an another software board), but it does piss me off when people just float in ask something like "please help now, it doesn't work!!!" and then accuse you of not helping if you ask for further info or point them to search or guides or FAQs. After a lot of this aggro, I just ignore such vague questions now. Is that better? No, but if people want me to make an effort to help, I expect that they make an effort to inform me and to learn too.
  3. Exactly So the OP must have an older version of something! So when he says he has latest version, to what is he referring?? My point is that he doesn't have the latest version of either of them If he has latest of IB = no warning, latest DVDflick = no warning. Altrimenti non so che cosa vuo dire l-originatore di questo "thread".
  4. Latest version of what actually? If its ImgBurn then it does not ask for update. If its DVDflick it has latest ImgBurn anyway. So what do you mean when you say "I have the latest version"??
  5. You add a video for conversion into DVDFlick by using "add title" not "open Project".
  6. I suppose so yes, but you really have to not know any better, because the way it works its pretty obvious that ImgBurn is a separate program that kicks in when burning to DVD is set (not on by default). It opens in its own separate window and retains control until its finished or the user intervenes. But I guess you're right, some might not even want to think that there could be a suite of programs working (ffmpeg, pulldown, tmplex, spumux, dvdauthor etc) one after another, behind a common GUI, instead of having to run them separately and having to learn how each works (some of which are CLI). But ImgBurn has its own interface, so its hard to mistake it for anything else. Nonetheless, as we just saw above, a few do unfortunately, despite the splashscreen and different GUI.
  7. No it doesn't... And there isn't a help to click in DVDFlick except when running ImgBurn (and then its the latter's help), but who can understand what he meant?
  8. First of all like LIGHTINING UK! said, update DVDFlick, your version is over a year old. And second if you insist in using old software then do the following: run Imgburn alone by clicking start, clicking run, typing (or copy and paste) "C:\Program Files\DVD Flick\imgburn\imgburn.exe" in the dialogue box and click OK. In Imgburn click tools, click events anbd change "check for program updates" to "never" There, you have it all now.
  9. Not to mention the tens (hundreds?) of thousands Sony DVD recorders which are re-badged Lite-ons
  10. Hey Guys Just thought I'd register and pop in! But why did I do that? Because I could not resist saying that this is one of the funniest threads in many a forum! It has enlightened me and has turned me into a super guru of computing. It has showed me how I can produce any file I want just by saving it. Pure magic....just put in the extension you want... and abracadabra, you have a video file. Fair enough its probably not playable. But if it doesn't work, ITS YOUR FAULT, cause you're a moron and I'm super smart brilliant! Absolutely prize winning humour....Black Adder, The Office, Scrubs, all you pretenders to the throne: Move over WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION!
