  1. Try a lower speed rather the MAX (24x). Try all if necessary. Try some better quality media. Taiyo Yuden are recommended. Cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc may help. BTW: Hiren’s BootCD 15.2 is out for a while.
  2. Patience people, patience. When LUK! feels it's ready to release it it will put it up. Just imagine that we as Beta Team members are still on the beta version 2.5.7.1 released on 10th May 2012 while he currently use 2.5.7.2 and permanently improve it. Even if we are his little helpers, we don't have acces to the latest yet. Maybe that the spring is here and flowers in blossom LUK! will smell the fresh grass air and feel the impulse to release the new version.
  3. This isn't ImgBurn problem. No help on this forum. Go to DVDFab Passkey forum and ask for help there.
  4. Glad to hear it's fixed. Please tell what it was so other users having the same problem know how to fix it.
  5. Your drive is so old... Try one of this firmware update. By the name structure the "BPSD" should be the one you need http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/SOHW-1633S/files.html Try a lower speed instead of MAX. Try all if needed. Try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc if you have one or manual if you fancy. If nothing works get yourself a new drive.
  6. Post the full log, please. There's more info needed than what you provided.
  7. First answer of Google for "associate file type with program" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307859
  8. As LUK said you have a problem with file association. That icon is for unknown file. Try this Default File Type Associations - Restore tutorial. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html
  9. ImgBurn can make avchd or blu-ray disc if you provide the correct set of files/folders. ImgBurn burn the files as is. If you have the correct folder structure the disc should work. If Pinnacle doesn't output a propper set of files it's not ImgBurn problem. Search help on their forum. You can find old saved logs via Help menu.
  10. Win7 has nothing to do with this update. This is a drive internal update not system update. Something maybe blocking your system to automaticaly check for firmware update so download it and try flashing the drive. It may help or not with the discs you use but at least you are sure your drive running the latest firmware.
  11. It's your decision but slim drives aren't the best choice as is suggested here http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  12. Win Pic & Fax viewer or Paint can open .ico files. Rightclick on the file and select Open with... Another nice little program is IrfanView that can open .ico files. Virtualy any program that handle picture images can open them
  13. ZIP is an compressed arhive while ISO is a copy of a disc. Each have its own purpose.
  14. Try ejecting and load again the disc a couple of times or even reboot the system. You can try burn it at 3x rather at MAX (4x) to see if that help. If nothing happens try other media different from MBIPG101-W04-00.
  15. If after the burn and verify the program reports "operation completed succesfully" as you say and the disc don't work as expected its not the program's problem or do concern us. The program just reports that the drive did the job as requested. Techicaly that disc can be read back at least by the drive that burned it. Here, we can't help you more. Search the info on dedicated forums.
  16. Update firmware in drive to latest and try again http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GH22NS50/files.html Try with some Verbatims. Cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc or manual may help sometimes. If nothing brings joy, maybe it's time for a new drive. The recommended one.
  17. Try it in other drive. Your drive seems to not like it.
  18. You don't need internet connection for the install. All is needed is in the setup package. Hope you downloaded from Mirror 7 - Provided by ImgBurn.
  19. As I understand you just double click the .exe and it will ask for a disc to burn. So the .exe have a burn engine inside the will do all necessary to make abootable disc. You don't need ImgBurn for that.
  20. Hope this illustrate well and you understand what I mean http://www.frontx.com/pro/c203_018.html http://en.community.dell.com/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/3514/8231.Master.jpeg
  21. How is you drive connected? Some drives need/recommended to be connected single on cable and set as master to flash the firmware.
  22. Update the firmware in your drive and try again. http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_302-file_AD7173A_GN_104_080415.ZIP.html
  23. Yes another batch would rule out the bad batch. You can flash back the latest original firmware if you need to send it back.
  24. If none of the available writing speeds can produce a good burn on the best media you can buy or it's a hit and miss thing, than you need a new drive. Cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc (or manual if you know how) sometimes help. Probably the laste resort before you go for a new drive. Don't waste money on a cleaning disc, though. If you have access to a cleaning disc go for it, if not, better get a new drive.
