Actually, I did not know what an SACD was and having looked it up, it may not be possible to copy those with ImgBurn.

Super Audio CD may actually be a DVD format.  So, it should be possible to copy those.  I really shouldn't say they can't be copied.  I worry if a copy can be played in a standalone SACD player.  I doubt they were designed to reflect recordable media in mind since the hardware preceded the recordable DVD format.

And there was mention of something called a Hybrid Disc which appears to have a CD and a DVD layer.  I doubt those could be copied.

    Hi

i guess i need a special reader like sony or oppo (there is a list of equipment ) to rip and copy correctly

after i can burn with imgburn , i guess the problem is that the blue ray/dvd burners for pc are not able to read the sacd layer with 4 or 5 channels

    that's a pitty i spent 160€ for this cd 😒

    thanks

There should be nothing preventing ImgBurn from making a copy of the disc, physically.

The best thing to do is just try to make a copy.  If it doesn't work, the worst you're out is some time and one CD-R.  If you're worried about wasting a single CD-R, you can always try copying to a CD-RW first.

    Hi

I know many users can rip it with foobar2000 and i guess with isobuster

maybe using a blue ray burner or dvd burner and not a cd

i guess the sacd is a dvd ,isn't it

    thanks

  3. Hi

I have bought Wish You Were Here Spec.Ltd.Edt.Sacd, CD / SACD hybrid, SACD  on Amazon for 160€

Might I ask if I could make a copy of it with imgburn (in my nation in Europe I can have and keep a copy of my original cd ) ?

any suggestion about imgburn settings ?

    thanks

I always keep all of my music in FLAC format and if I need to burn with ImgBurn, like burning a standard audio CD (or overburning a standard audio CD), ill just temporarily convert to WAV files (using Foobar2000) for use with ImgBurn.

I run ImgBurn on Linux as the method above works well since you just install ImgBurn and it will work with the above WAV files for standard audio CD burning by default with no conversion needed in ImgBurn itself basically.

I would generally avoid burning standard audio CD's from lossy formats like MP3/AAC etc.

but since ImgBurn has not been updated since the year 2013, I would say it's unlikely it will be updated at this point. but ImgBurn works quite well already for general data burning. it's audio CD burning works well enough to if you know how to work within it's limitations.

    Hi

well , i have read on the forum , there will be an update

yes imgburn work very well ,but on some new drivers  and dvd/cd ,imgburn can't set correctly the burn speed

and decompress with FFmpeg Library will be easy

for what i got it , you use imgburn for data but not for audio , may i know what software do you use to burn audio cd?

    thanks

  5. Hi

under I/O interface  , i can select SPTI and aspi WNASPI32.dll if copy the dll inside the program

to use elbycdio and patin couffin ,is enough to copy the drivers inside the main program or do i need the program installed?

and the 2 drivers are still available to download?

    thanks

    best regards

  6. Raw mode doesn't even apply to DVDs, nor ISO image.

    hi

sorry i wanted to say cd , the freeware can burn only cd i raw

The RAW writing mode for DVDs was never made due to a copyright law

hi ,this works for every nation , i mean develop a software that burn dvd in raw?

i remember a software that had to move in another nation to continue to live

    thanks

  7. Mine was the result of a root kit.  I had just installed ImgBurn on a new PC I was setting up in 2011 and got that message.  I had just started the application, nothing inserted in the drive, and ImgBurn couldn't detect any drives because the maximum number of secrets had been reached.  So, I posted about it and you recommended I do a scan for root kits, which I had one pre-installed with the PC.  After removing it, ImgBurn detected drives fine.

Microsoft's definition of a secret is "A secret is an encrypted piece of information, such as a password or user name."  It says if you receive that error message to contact the supplier of the application returning it.  So, there is no real general definition of a secret.  Secrets vary depending on the application.

A little further digging says the reason there is a finite cap on secrets is something imposed by the US government.  It's a standard Windows error message.  However, why this message would pop up on systems outside of America would be beyond me.  So, I'm inclined to slightly doubt the statement they're imposed by the US government as a possible conspiracy theory.

    hi

may i know from where does it come this warning ?

i mean have you a screenshot or can you post from where does it come /appear?

something like Maximum number of secrets has been reached

and may i ask you about

    what rookkit have you used?

well it's off topic but avast does consider this forum "pishing"

i wanted to report here and i have reported to avast ,just because it's a false alarm

    thanks

  8. +1

RAW Mode for burning CDs would be awesome indeed.

I've been using CDRWin for years and since I changed my drive, the "RAW" option has become greyed-out in CDRWin.

I suspect because support for drives newer than 2010 has just never been implemented in this soft (which is now dead :/)

Looking for a solution, I found Alcohol 120% does support RAW mode for my drive and it works just fine.

But I'm otherwise _really_ not a fan of Alcohol and certainly wished I could do the same in ImgBurn instead and ditch Alcohol (lol).

I hope LIGHTNING would reconsider a RAW option for Write Mode (at least for CDs!).

    hi

i wanted to burn a dvd iso in raw mode and sadly imgburn my favorite can't do it

so i have used CARBON CD 1.0.2 , it's free and portable

    hope it can help you

    cheers

  9. ImgBurn doesn't do any internal decoding at all.

Everything is handled by the OS, either via DirectShow or ACM.

I have no plans for doing any internal decoding.

It literally takes 2 minutes to install the system-wide DirectShow filters and then it'll automatically work within ImgBurn.

    hi

ok , thanks for the answer

    in the list http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?/topic/5555-how-to-write-an-audio-cd-from-music-files-using-imgburn/&do=findComment&comment=91374

there is a list of directshow and acm decoder

but should i install all of them to use all of them , or is there a pack that can support all of them

in short is better install the codec seperatly or a pack

about APE - Monkey's Audio , there is not a separate directshow or acm but the program

and by the way are they safe? i mean no virus

    thanks

    best regards

  10. It supports whatever DirectShow supports.

Installed the DirectShow decoders (as per the AudioCD guide) and you'll be good to go.

    hi

imgburn is a real gem , just a question , is hard to add decoders seeing imgburn was updated  in 2013 or add new feautes

honestly it's the best burn software

take care and thanks for the answer

  11. The flags available for use when burning a CUE are as follows...

    4CH = 4 Channel

    DCP = Digital Copy Permitted

    PRE = Pre-Emphasis

These flags apply at track level, so the 'FLAGS' command should follow the TRACK they apply to.

    i.e.

    TRACK 01 AUDIO

    FLAGS DCP

    INDEX 01 00:00:00

If you want DCP, and PRE, just use 'FLAGS DCP PRE'.

    hi

just a silly question , as I understood imgburn can burn all the flags

but do they dvd or blue ray burners really write these flags ?

    thanks

    thanks

i would like to bookmark this

i will test it and post it

thanks again really appreciate it a lot

  13. Nobody deleted it, it was never there to begin with.

What you need to do is find out exactly what your playback device (i.e. your car stereo) requires.

Maybe there are posts on other forums about burning discs for playback in a BMW cd player? If it's fussy, I'm sure there will be.

At this moment in time, I have no advice/tips to give you.

    hi

i will  try again using imgburn slow speed  burn+verify operations and i will add  ISRC, EAN/UPC & pre-emphasis to the cue

may i ask a question is there a way to add  "copy protection" flag to the cue?

the only cd that work are burned with nero 6 or 7 or 8 , and if i'm remember right it flags songs when i ripped with this flag

    thanks

ps i will never use nero  again

  14. You didn't post a question in your first post, I just replied based on the title of the topic.

Please post the log from the burn+verify operations.

    hi

somebody has delete my question #1

well i wanted to ask a question

i can 't play my burnded cd on my original bmw cd player

i have tried to burn at the slower speed and i have used several cd brands

i would like to know if there are some tips to edit imgburn to burn an audio cd and play on my audio car player

i don't like nero (it was a old nero version i guess 8 or 9 ) and i don't want to use anymore ,but a verbatim cd burned with nero worked , i guess maybe because nero added the "copy protection" flag and other flags like ISRC, EAN/UPC & pre-emphasis

i have tried anyburn but it doesn't work too

imgburn audio cd work great everywhere outside some car original cd player

my question is if there some tips to burn an audio cd , a compilation and test it with this settings or tips

    thanks

Drag the folder over holding the video_ts folder and you're done. If IMGBurn asks you to make certain corrections, let it. But pretty sure there are tutorials, might want to check the tutorials section ;-)

    hi

    ok

but i want to burn mp4 video or other format , i guess i need to tool to convert them

No, you don't.  Just export from Adobe Media Encoder or directly from Premiere Pro to MP4 or whatever you want.

You only need Encore to make a DVD compliant file, in which case you would export as DVD mpeg-2 and then bring it into Encore to author it.

    hi

    thanks Peru

should i fnd an encore alternative , because under w10 is no stable
