  1. Thanks for the replies, mmalves but that's what I'm trying to avoid. I already have the Video TS folder and would like to get around converting the Video TS folder back to a mp4 or avi video file only to have DVD Flick recode it back to Video TS with the menu. So I guess that's the only way, huh? DVD Flick won't load a Video TS folder.
  2. I use Imgburn with DVD Flick but I can't load my Video TS folder into DVD Flick. I'd rather not convert my TS to MP4 and then re-author in DVD Flick.
  3. I know how to burn a DVD movie from the Video TS folder in "Build" mode but I would like to know if I can add a DVD Menu also.
  4. I downloaded the 4th entry at Answers That Work which is an ISO file. I want to burn it to a CD. My question is ....I'm pretty sure I want to use "write" mode but in "build" mode I notice under Advanced/Bootable Disk , it refers to "make image bootable" and "extract boot image....Should I just go ahead and burn it in "write" mode? Thanks
  5. Well, Lightning UK, I used my Verbatim DVD's and had a successful burn. But the main window was the only thing that came up. No log window. I then checked for the log under "HELP" menu and the log file was missing. (Maybe my Cleaner) removed it. But I would think that my burn would produce another one. I found the log under "View" menu. Anyway, here's the log.... I 20:37:30 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! I 20:37:30 Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 20:37:30 Total Physical Memory: 1,038,316 KB - Available: 665,164 KB I 20:37:30 Initialising SPTI... I 20:37:30 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 20:37:30 Found 1 DVD
  6. OK, Lightning UK, I'll try a TS Video folder and get back........
  7. Thanks mmalves...... I'll try Verbatim Dvd's. I've had good success with the Sony's and since I Reinstalled Win Xp and new Imgburn , 2 bad burns in a row. I figured that something else must be wrong. I don't understand why my log doesn't say anything.
  8. Ok , That's all I got after the failed burn. I don't have any other info in the log for some reason. Do you think I should reinstall ImgBurn? Also, should I remove IMAPI from filter load?
  9. I just reinstalled windows XP and then installed the newer ImgBurn version 2.4.2.0 and I tried to burn an .avi movie with an error again. I was here last week about my first error. It was suggested that I remove my lower filters so I did that except for IMAPI because Lightning Uk had me save that one when I had trouble with my last version. I'm using Sony DVD's at 4X speed with a Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-841S. I don't think there is new firmware for my burner. Here is my log and screenshots.
  10. Thanks Cynthia, I read the settings guide. That's why I was wondering about that. My computer has 1 gig of ram so I should set it to 40....Right? Or does ImgBurn automatically set that at setup?
  11. From my experience creating many coasters, put the suspect disk in the drive and with ImgBurn in the "build" mode select "device" and if the DVD is now a coaster the "status" will be INCOMPLETE instead of EMPTY
  12. While checking over my default settings and comparing to the "Guides" settings, I noticed that in the build settings the default "read buffer size" is 40 MB and the default "read buffer size" in my ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 is 20 MB......Why is that?
  13. OK, Thanks again mmalves.....I have all the settings set to default and have removed all the lower filters. I guess I'll give it another try. Did my log show you anything?
  14. Thanks mmalves, Lightning UK had me remove some filters when I had trouble before. But I just reinstalled my Windows XP and installed the newer version of ImgBurn and the filters were different. Did you check out my settings screenshot? Just about all of those checked boxes UNCHECKED when I reset to defaults. I never set those that way (All Checked).......I didn't want to uninstall Sonic, I just wanted to stop it from starting at startup.
  15. I was cleaning up my startup items and the research I did on the net told me the dla entry (DLA DLACTRLW.EXE) was for sonic software and drive ID so since I never use My Sonic program, (It came with my computer) I removed it from my startup and just after that I started to burn a VIDEO TS folder and right away I got a failure and error message. Can someone tell me if the dla is needed for my ImgBurn? Attached are my log, my filter load order and the settings in "build" before I selected "restore all defaults" and they changed quite a bit. I don't know how they got that way.....imgburn.log
  16. I have copied both of my system recovery disks to my hard drive and removed a couple of folders that contain program installs for extra add-on's (Like 60 dayTrial programs) that I don't want and I would like to make my own recovery disks without the unwanted programs. Would it be better to just burn the folders or make an ISO image of them and then burn it? I'm not really sure what an ISO image is. Thanks...
  17. OK, Thanks mmalves. No problems yet because I haven't tried to burn a movie yet. I figured I'd ask before trying since I installed the new ImgBurn so I don't waste any more DVD's. I'll try to burn that way and see what happens.......
  18. I just reinstalled my Windows XP on my Toshiba laptop and Installed the newest version of ImgBurn. I had burning problems with my older version so Lightning UK suggested that I change my filter settings and I had successful burns after that. The new version has a different version of settings and I would like to know how to set them. I'm posting screenshots of the old settings that Lightning UK suggested and the new filter version that I need to change. Thanks
  19. Yes, after I saw the failure error I just shut it down. I was just thinking before I read your reply about adding the VIDEO_TS folder into ImgBurn in the build mode. There are 11 VOB files and about 12 BUP and IFO files.... Is that OK?
  20. Thanks again Cynthia but I think were back where we started. I tried the compilation in DVDFlick and it was unsuccessful right away as soon as ImgBurn started. I don't understand why the log said "Failed to check for ImgBurn update!" and then closed. Should I convert the FLV files before I enter them into DVDFlick and if so.... what format would be the best.
  21. So, convert the FLV files first to mpeg and then add them to Imgburn in the build mode?
