  1. sorry, but i wasn't trying to offend you in any way. i really appreciate your work and the fact that you keep it free. i just taught maybe my dumbass did something and it was an easy fix. in any case, thanks for the help and sorry again if i made a fool of myself.
  2. i'm sure you're probably right but look at it from my perspective. i upgraded to 2.5 => i try burning 3 disks, none of them work. layer 1 is unreadable. i go back to 2.4, same disks, same iso's, everything works great. i don't know what it is, maybe it's my system.. maybe it's a weird allignment of the planets, but for me v2.5 doesn't work.
  3. If you're purchasing them on a spindle, and the label on the spindle says Verbatim find the bar code on the label. Look to the left of the bar code and you should see an area that tells where the discs were made. If you're purchasing them and there is no way to verify they are Verbatim, other that on the disc, they could be counterfeit. They could also be counterfeit even if there is a label on the spindle. I haven't heard of Verbatim discs being counterfeited but that doesn't mean no one is doing it. Best of luck to you. Let us know how things turn out. i edited the previous post, didn't see you replied, sorry i usualy buy 5 disks and 5 cases and the lady from the store takes them from the spindle and places them in cases. i never had problems before so i never asked to see the package and check where the disks were manufactured, but i will next time. anyway, now that i'm back to v2.4.4.0 everything seems to be working fine. i'll try to burn another disk just to be sure. thanks!
  4. thanks for the reply. i didn't know there was a crappy kind of verbatim dl on the market. i get them in bulk so there's no way to check the box but now that you mention it i do notice that on these last disks i got it does say 8x and on my older ones it sais 2.4x i still have 8x disks and i just downgraded back to 2.4.4 just to check, and i'm now starting to burn the same iso again. will be back with nfo. edit: just finished burning with imgburn v2.4.4.0, same media, everything is fine now. i also changed OPC setting to "ON". here's the log: I 11:50:26 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! 5. hey guys. so i updated to 2.5 and so far it looks like a bad move. i tried burning 2 DL disks (verbatim dvd+r dl) with x360 images. here's the problem: there are no errors during the writing process and it completes successfuly but when verifying the disk it can't read after the layerbreak. also, i try to set 2,4x write speed but it goes ahead and ignores me and writes at 4x. here's my log: I 12:07:07 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! I 12:07:07 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 12:07:07 Total Physical Memory: 2,095,532 KB - Available: 1,201,736 KB W 12:07:07 SPTD can have a detrimental effect on drive performance.
