  1. Thought i'd let you know that indeed the disc is faulty. When i said it played back ok i never played it all the way through. Anyway as soon as it gets to the Imelda May tracks it starts skipping and freezing. So i'm gonna try and get hold of a clean copy.
  2. Well i just tried the anyDVD beta and it still won't scan. I was in touch with Frank before you. Being as the disc will play ok on my pc and ps3 i supposed i'm fooled into thinking the disc is ok,and that it's a software problem. Have tried another original blu-ray and no problem with imgburn or anydvd. Never had a blu-ray with a read fault before, but frank says it's not a protection problem, but i can't help thinking it is. Anyone else tried with this disc?
  3. Thanks for your reply.Running Anydvdhd ver 7.0.3.0. I've been in touch with a tech guy Frank at anydvd, and he has a similar conclusion to you. Anydvd will scan it and say it's decripted after about 10 go's but then when trying to read it with imgburn it fails at 17%. Maybe trying out the new beta version of anydvd might work,do you know where i can get it from. Thanks Neil.
  4. Trying to make a backup of Jeff Beck blu-ray via anydvdhd but getting a failure. When reading disc with imgburn it gets to17% and says "medium not present" Disc title is "Jeff Beck-Rock N Roll Party-Honouring Les Paul-Blu-Ray" Here's the logfile. 6. Hi, Just started getting this SPTD alert,i have burnt a couple of discs with no problem. But is there a way of fixing this.
  7. Hi holmsey, There's a programme called bd rebuilder v0.20.08 (freeware) which will do everything you mention in your post, but process can take a long time.Best to let it run over night http://www.digital-digest.com/software/BD_Rebuilder.html
  8. Thanks eSKRo, I followed your instructions, and as you can see i was successful. Cheers.
  9. Can anyone give me some instructions of how to get my profile picture to show on my posts,i just can't find an option for doing it.
  10. I know imgburn recommend verbatim to burn blu-ray,but as most people know about 98% of movies are over 25gb and verbatim don't do a 50gb bd-re. So i got in touch with verbatim and asked them when they plan on doing one,and this is the reply i got. Thank you for your interest in the Verbatim product range. Our parent company, Mitsubishi Chemicals, is currently scheduled to begin production of double layer re-writable Blu-ray discs in July, which would mean first availability in retail around September. However there are many factors which could delay this. If you sign up to our regular news letter (click here to go to registration page) then you will be alerted as soon as it is ready for release. There are re-writable double layer Blu-Ray discs available already, however unlike other brands who effectively buy a branded product from 3rd party factories, Verbatim/Mitsubishi develop manufacturing techniques and produce in our own facilities. At present we do not have this particular type of disc (re-writables are particularly challenging) to a high enough quality standard to bare the Verbatim brand name, and likewise are not convinced by the quality of discs currently on the market. In the meantime we are producing high quality BD-R 50GB double layer discs, for recording once. See below: http://www.aprmedia.com/product.php?pid=5259 I hope that helps, please don

  13. Hi casketizer, Thanks for your reply, my BE06LU10 originally came with the YE03 and i updated the firmware to YE05.It's handy to know someone with the same drive as me,hope you don't mind me asking you a question now and then (i'm not much of a techhead but i'm working on it) Regards the leekie one.
  14. I Just checked my device capabilities and noticed the read and write capabilities boxes were unchecked for dvd+rwdl and bd-rdl should they be checked?
  15. The erase option confuses me somewhat, when you say format do you mean full erase? When useing this option before i have been getting to 49% aprox and an error occurs "erase command fail" it then goes back to zero and completes.Could you tell me what the discovery write option does, i suspect it writes zeroes to the disc and erases it.So when erasing a 50gb bd-re there are three options quick erase, full erase and discovery write, so should i always use the full erase to get the full amount of recordable space on the disc.
