  1. Just a bit worried re the result! Used RITEK G05 -8x Surely it shouldnt be this bad? Doc1.doc
  2. I am getting an error when tring to export to to info pro, its ok for about 10 seconds then I get an error and it shuts down Is there any known bugs between the two? thanks
  3. I purchase all my discs from SVP, they also list some DVD-R as G02 on other makes. Does G02 relate to the make up of disc so other brands with the same lettering would be ok? Also is there any advantages over DVD-R over DVD+R thanks
  4. Agree with you, but then there are different types of wheel nowadays!! DVDD was the best out there & I am sure a combined program by the team would be the same? Just thought it would take out one of the factors as at present we have Decrpt Shrink Burn
  5. As shrink is no longer supported, has the team thought of a combined sort of program? Or does shrinking come under the NO NO banner like DVDD did? Cheers
  6. If you made an ISO image from the disc it would contain ALL of the files that were on the disc and not just the VOB files. If that's important to you then ISO is the way to go. Cheers for that. I therefore presume if quality is an issue and I dont want the titles & extra junk its best to stick with the ISO? On a completely different note, how do you get the picture under your name, I have uploaded one but it shows on the right hand side of the profile and not the left? thanks
  7. Do you benefit from burning a ISO image rather that the VOB files themselves? Thanks
  8. If you are referring to Liggy and Dee's firmware, you can get RPC1 (region free) functionality, bitsetting for DVD+R and DVD+RW in addition to the included support for DVD+R DL discs. Also, they have modified some write strategies to improve burn quality. thanks
  9. My NEC 4550a drive has the latest NEC 1.07 firmware installed, however there is another firmware available from outside NEC. What would the advantages be to use the alternative? Thanks
  10. Many thanks, will try to use shrink instead As killjoy and I noted, it has nothing to do with your use of CloneDVD2. It has to do with the target value for the shrunken disc. I do recall that some movies (when I was still compressing them - use DL discs now) with DVD shrink would not get under 4.37 GB on the first try, and you had to shrink the output a second time. If you didn't change the default target size in CloneDVD2, perhaps that is what is happening to you. I am not convinced there is something else going on with this movie file im trying to back up, its fairly new and just tried shrink with it, get an error straight away, but CloneDVD2 works fine?!! weird
  11. Many thanks, will try to use shrink instead
  12. thought it was 4.7gb? #39;(
  13. Hi there I am trying to get away from commercial software and use IMgBurn for the burning of the ISO. Its a bit of a weird one, used CloneDVD2 to compress and make the ISO, however the ISO file is marked as 4760592 KB, but if you click on it or place the cursor over it it shows 4.54 GB. The point being when I try to burn IMgBurn displays a message the file is too big for the disc. Whats going on? Thanks
  14. Cheers for that, so the G05 ink is no good? Also should I be able to burn at the disc max?

  16. Please help!! Happy to give my home email address if you dont want to post on this forum
