  1. ok, so the CD burned from a CUE file used in above log worked great. It shows CD-text in my car stereo! Unfortunately I guess my problem then turns out to be when I burn an image file created form an original disc, there is no track/title info on the car stereo. this is an log from when I created an image file from a disc and then burned it. when I use "read" and "view media info" neither the original or the burned CD reports CD text, it just lists some ISRC values for each track. the disc is Cold Play Viva la vida if that helps thanks again I 20:06:58 Destination Device: [0:0:0] HL-DT-ST CDRW/DVD GCC4482 E107 (D:) (ATA) I 20:06:58 Destination Media Type: CD-R (Disc ID: 97m24s01f) I 20:06:58 Destination Media Sectors: 359,845 I 20:06:58 Write Mode: CD I 20:06:58 Write Type: SAO I 20:06:58 Write Speed: 12x I 20:06:58 Test Mode: No I 20:06:58 OPC: No I 20:06:58 BURN-Proof: Enabled I 20:06:58 Filling Buffer... 3. ok, sorry to be a bother here, I guess. A little more on CD-text I am trying to get straight... I have burned a CD as per following the turorials you have provided, selected the tracks, clicked tags for CD-text option, 2 second gap, etc... when played in winamp it recongizes the CD-text with track info displayed although it looks like it is linking to the cddb database to do so. When I play it in my car stereo no CD-text is displayed? I know it can handle it as it will give artist name and track title etc for some other CDs I have tried. So, I am wondering what went wrong, or does it depend as well if my CD burner is able to burn text? I have a HL-DT-ST CDRW/DVD GCC4482 E107 CD burner right now which is the standard Dell hardware drive. Just trying to figure out if I am doing something wrong when burning with imgburn or if its my drive, or the actual CD player? thanks
  4. slowed down the burn speed to 5x burn and completed burn successfully! thanks for the help. by the way, just out of curiousity, why do you think that made the difference? and isn't slower burn speeds improve the quality as well? I mean the whole thing still took less than 15 min anyway so not a big deal to slow it to 4-5x speed i guess. thanks,
  5. I use a Taiyo Yuden CD-R. I can try another, but do you know if there is compatability issues with TY? I use the same CDs to burn CD images I made as well. It's just not working well with burning mp3 CDs thanks for the help, appreciate the quick reply and I will also give a try to 4x burn speed. Tim

I 12:23:40 Shutting down SPTI... I 12:23:40 ImgBurn closed!
  7. ok well maybe I spoke to soon. The mp3 files I chose to experiment burn have now been deleted or moved form the original file location? In the root folder where it is located in under documents and settings>My music>"album folder". the mp3 files i selected to burn are gone. What happened? I do have checked to "delete image" but thought it would do just that, deleted the image not the actual files.
  8. so after experimenting with this program and checking out the guides I've got this thing working nicely! copying CDs and burning mp3 CDs! Created a few coasters in the process but whatever! Great program guys thanks for the forum support!
  9. hey thanks for the quick reply, now that is when adding tracks for an mp3 CD right? what about an original audio CD that you want to burn a copy of...is the track/album data transferred with that or still need to create a CUE sheet? thanks!
  10. Hi, I am new to the software and have heard great things about it. I am sorry if this question is redundant, as you have probably heard it so many times, so please bear with me. I have read posts some from years ago 2005-2006 and some recent and I am trying to get a grasp on how/if the software handles CD-text? When I burn a audio CD or create my own mp3 CD will the tag data be burned? So I won't see "track 01" etc... on playback? Or will I need to use CUE sheets for this? Thanks so much for your time to help me out.
