...It's not like I go out wearing a t-shirt saying "I'm the author of ImgBurn".

 

But you should; ImgBurn is an excellent piece of software. It is one of the most dependable programs I've used.

[Capture tool?]

I am using Any Video Converter Professional to capture & convert various file formats. It works good only to capture You Tubes. It cannot capture other URLs when copied & pasted. Though its conversion is versatile.

 

Could you suggest a a better capturing software that can capture most if not all besides You tubes.

Check out TechSmith's Camtasia. It will record anything and everything you can get onto your screen.

I removed the K-Lite Codec Pack and updated ImgBurn to 2.5.

The burn worked perfectly and the sound quality is excellent.

Remove all codec packs and try again (use a CD-RW ).

 

Also update ImgBurn.

My CDs burn fine but their audio quality is terrible. Very tinny, thin, and loud. It's weird because the .WAV files play fine on my computer but not when burned. I am hoping someone can help guide me to fixing what I imagine is a codec issue. I'm using the K-Lite codec pack but it has worked before.

 

Any help or direction to solving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if this would meet your needs but you could use PKZip to split your large file into two pieces. I have a stack of DL DVDs which will not correctly burn to the second layer (Yes, they're CMC. I didn't know when I bought them!). Since I don't want to just throw them in the garbage I use PKZip to split my source file into two 3.5GB pieces and then use ImgBurn to create two separate builds and burn to the DVDs. It's a kludge but it works for my purposes.

 

Of course, as soon as I'm through with this stack of DVDs I'll be buying Verbatim's.

...The problem is that you're using a filesystem that only Windows Vista and newer OSs can read. Use UDF 1.02 and it should work fine

I don't know when the File System was changed to UDF 2.60. I must have turned off the Dummy Protection Feature!

[Drive not Reading what it burns]

I'm suddenly having the same problem with disks burned using ImgBurn 2.4.3.

My logs are listed below. The first is a CD-RW and the second is a DVD-R. Both discs recorded and were verified by ImgBurn but on the drive they were burned nor on another drive does anything show in Windows Explorer. (I know the DVD is a CMC but this batch has been reliable for about 30 discs out of a 50 stack. I won't be buying them again though.)

[ImgBurn Made My Day]

My old copy of Roxio would not acknowledge my LightScribe DVD R/W was even connected. I could play through other software but Roxio wouldn't record to it.

Upon the recommendation of a friend I downloaded ImgBurn and it worked perfectly.

I've just successfully burned a couple of audio CDs with ImgBurn. I uninstalled Roxio and am not looking back.
