  1. I just wanted to follow up here after all the issues out there it ended up this I had my 360 flashed about 1.5 yrs ago now and the firmware on the dvd rom needed to be upgraded. now even after I had to replace the dvd rom as it would read origional disks but not back up. The hitachi drive I had was only able to update to v1.51 (Iextreeme) the newest version was 1.61 after installing this there has been no issue at all. So it was not image burn or the dvd writer it was the DVD reader and even though it would read regular DVDs it was not able to read back ups. Just hoping that this will help some one
  2. Ok here is an update to this one I found a guy whom was pretty good on this the whole xbox stuff but he is 1hr away so makes it tough to see this guy often. Here is some information about my xbox drive is an Hitachi v59 with ixtreme 1.51 firmware on it, previous version was ixtreme 1.41 This is the newest firmware available for this drive. Now knowing that there is v1.61 but not able to install on this drive. He said that all properly burnt games should play on my console now. Here is the kicker I took along one of my burnt games plays perfectly in his console still will not play in mine. Now I got img burn here and I followed all known instructions with book type got the verbatim disks i just dont see what I am doing wrong here can some one please help me as I am about to take this desk and freak!! But I do realize that you guys here have done your best to get his up for me
  3. I guess maybe I should restste that my old computer died I purchased a new one it has an internal writer but it is a newer HP touch screen the older computer had written just fine. Now I dont remember if I had to change settings in img burn it is at default settings now etc. My kids would love to have a new video game to play as I have about fourty on the hard drive ready to go for them but they just dont burn for me now? Do I have to alter the settings in img burn to make the disks readable for the xbox. Or is it something else?
  4. When I put it into my Xbox 360 it still does not play I have older burnt games they still work but nothing new

  6. Thank you for your advice I purchased a LiteOn iHAS324 I would have purchased a Pioneer as you recomended but seems only to be available in the UK and I am not into Blue ray so dont need the other. Flea Bay so I will keep this one posted and hopefully it can help more people and they dont have to disturb you for something not so worthy of your attention.
  7. I had looked in the forums and seen the (whats hot) but as far as looking at all that info it looks like chineese to me. hate to admit my ignorance I just could not tell from all the burning info what I was looking at. Lightening Uk you are obviously the most knowledgable please how about what you use? If its good to you Then I know it will to all but I will look again
  8. Ok New computer that has all the stuff built into the monitor it is a basic laptop hard drive and I know this does not burn good at all as I wanty to burn xbox 360 games for the kids. Basic question which drive works best with imgburn that I can put to an external case or your best opinion! ! Img burn is Great So thank you to the developers The program has never failed me (my Burner has though)
  9. Well I am sory to be such a dolt here in the matter as I do admit to be ignorant in the matter can you give a little more specific directions to set the book type? When it worked before it was as simple as installing and it all worked. this time I am banging my head into the wall tring to figure it out. As well i have blown through about $100 in DVDs with no sucess as of late. Thanks Again
  10. Here is the logs let me know what you think I guess part of what I was saying is that I wondered if they some how were able to block a certain drive from making back up copies of the xbox game? Its probably a stupid question but I just wondered as I seen it inside the box of the new burner But here you go /****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 - Log ; Monday, 16 March 2009, 14:28:14 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 14:27:54 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! 11. Ok I have a HP IQ touch as my old computer blew on me so I spent $1300 on this new computer and I can not burn a dam game sence my old one went on me. Now I am using Img Burn like before and I have all the same settings I have the Verbatim Cds made sure that they were the Singapore cds itc and I was told that the Drive my computer came with (tsstcorp CDDVDW TS-T633a was not good for writing cds to play on Xbox. Now I went to Wallie world and got a new LiteOn atapi ihas120 6 simply an EZ-dub usb powered external writer $82 and still I get an unreadable disk error. But in looking through the pamphlet it states that (This device will not duplicate any copyrighted materials). Is this junk to me and if so where is a good place to get a DVD writer that I can use via USB to get my kids games going again.
  12. I dont think so all the files are there I dont know what the issue may be and the older back up games that I have work just fine so I am at a loss my old computer was fine now I had bad disks here and there. But I dont know why this new computer I cant get a game to work right!!
  13. Ok I went and got a new Liteon DVD writer and it failed again I wanted to give it one more shot out here with some one looking over my shoulder. Here is a log of what happened and indeed it failed. Now it shows an error in there it is simply me making the program use the lite on and not the systems DVD writer any assistance would be greatly appreciated I 15:39:56 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started! I 15:39:56 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium x64 Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1) I 15:39:56 Total Physical Memory: 4,184,396 KB - Available: 1,095,208 KB I 15:39:56 Initialising SPTI... 14. I asume your right as its an all in one setup the newer HP IQ touch you would figure for $1300 it would have good stuff in it and that is exactly what I plan on doing now I had a light on DVD burner and it worked ok. Thank you all for the help and posts I will get a new burner. and keep it posted here if it comes together
  15. Yes I used that disk simply to burn for this test to show what was going on. I did purchase verbatim disks and went through 5 of them with the same issue. At the $5 per disk I wanted to save it for when I had a good chance of making it work. So at this point I am thinking that teh drive is what the issue is am I right and should get a newdrive? If this is right what drive should I get? As this is a new computer I would probably get a drive and put in an external case. Thank you for your help guys!!!! it is appreciated especially by my kids
