  5. Hey guys: I get this caution when I open Imgburn with a Verbatim +R DL disk. Not sure what it means or what can be done about it. Any advice will be great!!! Here's the log. 4th line down. 6. Hey Cynthia: It worked!!! I put it in and the game came on. So thanks a bunch.
  7. I myself have never had a problem with this setting but I will give it a whirl. Update: I unchecked the "Perform OPC Before Write" and the disk burned to completion. I will post back tomorrow when I put the disk into the player. Thanks for your input Cynthia!!!
  8. Hey guys: Imgburn just gave me this error: Device [4:0:0] ATAPI iHAS124 B ALOS (D) (ATA) Scsi Status: 0x02 Interpretation: Check Condition CDB: 2A 00 00 20 3A 60 00 00 20 00 Interpretation : Write (10) - Sectors 2112096 - 2112127 Sense Area: 71 00 03 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 0C 00 00 00 00 00 SK Interpretation: 71 00 03 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 0C 00 00 00 00 00 SK Interpretation: Medium Error ASC/ASCQ Interpretation: Write Error Retry or Cancel The dvd burner is a Lite-On Ihas124 b flashed with the proper f/w for this application. The dvd is a Verbatim 8x DL I am running ImgBurn 2.5.7.0 and Windows 7 Let me know if you need any more hardware info. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- It looks to me like the layer break is what failed. I was trying to backup one of my xbox360 games. Do you think it was a bad disk. I just don't want to waist another DL disk if I don't have to. In Tools/Setting/Write everything is set to defaults except for "Perform OPC Before Write". I have this checked. Under options for "Layer Break" it is set at "Calculate Optional". Attached is a log of the process: Imgburn log.txt Anything I can do??? Thanks
  9. Hey guys: I am in the market for a new bluray burner and I always burn my stuff with Imgburn, so I figured it was a good idea to ask which burners you guys recommend. I was looking at the Plextors, Pioneers, Liteons. But if there's something preferred please feel free to chime in. The last time I bought one, it was a Sony made by Matshita and I was told HERE that it was a piece of "shita"... so thats why I wanted some advice!!! Thanks
  10. Where in Imgburn can I check for a firmware update? I never saw that option before. Thanks
  11. Hey guys: I always use the Verbatim Dual layer dvd's because you guys recommend them. I am ready to start burning BluRay disks and I want to buy the right ones for imgburn. Do you still recommend the Verbatims or are there others types that you prefer? Thanks
  12. All seems to be well here again. I not sure why the problem cleared up, but it did!!! I'll check out cdfreaks. Thanks again.
  13. Hey Lightning. What is a great bluray burner than?? I burn frequently and would like to purchase a quality product. Thanks
  14. There are lots of good drives out there. I myself have been using a Plextor PX800 for a while now. The plextors are a little more pricey than some other burners, but, they burn almost anything you put in them, including media that is considered to be "crappy media". In the long run it saves you cash because you can buy the cheaper media all day long. I myself will burn a flick and watch it once unless its really good. Then you can save it for another day or just throw it in the trash. Hope this helps
  15. I did a system restore to 2 days ago because a Windows update was installed. I just tried to burn another disk and it worked fine. I don't know if had anything to do with it?? This time I hit the F8-key right before I hit the start button. I think that's what you wanted me to do. Here's that log for it: Hope this helps and thanks. ImgBurn.log
  16. Here ya go. A Verbatim dual layer 8.5gb dvd+r was used. Here's the log: Thanks ImgBurn.log
  17. Hey guys, and also, nice to here from you Lightning. I have not had a chance to do what you mentioned. When should I press the F8 Key?? Is this before I begin the burn?? mmalves: I burn with a Sony BWU-100A. Are these the drivers you are referring to or is it the drivers for the controller on the mobo that you are referring to?? The update I can add to this thread is I am unable to complete a burn of any kind(4.7gb or 8.5gb). I will post the log of the last .iso that I tried to burn. I know it's a good one because I've burned it many times prior with no problems. I think maybe the program failed at the synchronisation step earlier was just a coincidence. I have tried to burn at least 10 other disks and all have failed at different times during the process, but mostly right near the end(in the 90's% rate). Here's the log and thanks for the help: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ImgBurn.log
  18. Hey guys: Its at the very end. Completed 100%. It went to sychronising cache and thats where it froze. Its not the computer, because its working fine. It just won't go to the finalizing step. It had an 8.5gb dvd in it(Verbatim). Do you think if I end the process with task manager that the dvd might still work? I doubt it, but I had to ask. Thanks
  19. I was and then I tried it at 2.4x Neither have ever given me a prob. Maybe I have a bad batch of disks? They happen to be the last 5 I have. I'll get more Thurs. and post back. But if anyone still has any suggestions, I would love to watch... WM tonite. Dvd-Decrypter failed on all of them too. I'm sure that's not a surprise. I bet you its the dvd's, because this is that unusual. I just want to say thanks to everyone here that's helps out. I don't usually an have probs with imgburn. I have been using dvd-decrypter and imgburn since their conception. It's the best software out there!!!
  20. How would I clean the burner??
  21. Hey guys: I am trying to burn an iso and keep getting this error. I am using the Verbatim Dvd+R DL 2.4x Disk ID: MKM-001-00. I always use these and they are usually fine, but I have a batch of 5 here that keep giving me this error. I am using the Sony BWU-100A Bluray burner. I checked there website and there hasn't been any updates to the player since 2008. I am at a loss and am wide open to suggestion. The image I am trying to burn is about 60mb larger than 8026. (It's 8088mb's) Thanks Here is a copy of the log file: I 21:42:17 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! I 21:42:17 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 21:42:17 Total Physical Memory: 3,536,600 KB - Available: 2,932,284 KB I 21:42:17 Initialising SPTI... I 21:42:17 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 21:42:37 Found 1 DVD
