  1. Older stand alone players can have problems playing burned discs. How old are those that won't play? -R media worked better for me in the old time when my DVD player had issues playing burned discs. They aren't too old..maybe a few years at the most. The one that does work is fairly new I believe. When you used -R media, did it always work? Does anyone know if I use -R media if it will work for sure in my DVD players? Or what a way is to make sure it works?
  2. My DVD player won't play my newly burned DVD. I have 3 DVD players in my house, and actually only one of them will play it. Shouldn't burned DVDs play in any player??? I'm getting frustrated, because I thought I was finally successful! It also won't play in my Playstation 2. I'm using a Memorex DVD+R ... I don't know if this really affects it. If you say that is the solution, if I go out and buy better disks - DVD-R??? - is this guaranteed to play in my DVD players then?? I burned .Vobs will all the proper .ifo and .bup files, etc. I thought everything should work..but it's not. Here is my log: ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 - Log ; Sunday, 24 May 2009, 18:20:01 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 17:02:17 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! I 17:02:17 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1) I 17:02:17 Total Physical Memory: 3,142,996 KB - Available: 1,845,100 KB I 17:02:17 Initialising SPTI... I 17:02:17 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 17:02:17 Found 1 DVD
  3. Apologies. I posted here to see if I created different .ifo and .bup files for each of the separate .vob files (under 1 gig), if ImgBurn would still burn all of the files in the folder to play correctly in my DVD player. Can you help me, or should I still bring this question to a different forum?
  4. Hey everyone, I've been trying to burn this DVD for a few days..and each day I get more and more errors and keep fixing the errors. Here's the lastest =P I have 5 big .vob files, and no .ifo and .bup files. I downloaded IFOEDIT to create these files. The question is - do I have to join the .vob files and then make the other files using IFO edit? Or can I make separate ones for each .vob file, put everything in one VIDEO_TS folder, and burn it using Imgburn? And everything will work playing in my DVD player? Thanks for the help...hopefully I can get this darn DVD to work soon! =)
  5. No, I didn't change anything...and I tried resetting just to be sure. I don't know why it's not working...lol please help me. Is there something wrong/is there something I have to do with my .vob files? I'm not sure whaht the problem is...
  6. So I want to burn my .vob .ifo and .bup files onto a dvd so I can watch it on a player. So I read a guide on how to do this on here and put all the files into one folder and named it VIDEO_TS. It is 4.12 Gigabytes. So I did all the steps in Imgburn, but when I push "calculate" and it's only 344.064 bytes.... It should be WAAAYYYY more. I don't know whats going on - it's calculating all the files but the .vob ones. It says there are 7 files, and I have 7 .ifo and .bup files combined. I have 5 .vob files, and these aren't included. If I click "add a file" and add one of the .vob files, it calculates it correctly, but for some reason it doesn't if it's in the VIDEO_TS folder...and everything has to be in that folder right?? what do I do!!! I'm sooo frustrated I've been trying to burn this DVD for days and I keep coming across new problems!!! please please help me! Thanks very much in advance!!
