  2. http://www.divx.com/company/press/press_detail.php?pr_id=272 since divx is just now rolling out for PS3 I don't think PS2 is even possible, the dvd player was one of the lamest and chipsets way too old buy a divx standalone
  3. the main thing about limited vs admin is when you surf on a limited account malware can't make system wide changes, this is not related to fat32 or ntfs however
  4. One other thing to try while using those iffy blanks, is set the burner to master, have at the end of a 80 conductor cable and connected to the power lead closest to the power supply with no other component on that set of leads? pull the connections from the old cd-rw
  5. why are you restoring from backup? interesting problem, nero 8 works and imgburn does not alcohol might interfer

  8. post a filter driver load order with tools unmount any virtual drives lose the old liteon combo, have the plextor connected master on a motherboard ide and a good cable at the the end all by itself
  9. welcome to the forum looks like that's a pretty old philips/benq drive never tried dual layer with my benq 1620, if I did I would only trust verbatim 2.4x disks since the firmwares are over 2 years old yours is even older http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1941 and you are using ritek 8x disks? might be an exercise in futility
  10. http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia/philips-...4/2995#comments return them
  11. Using the MODE at the top, switch to BUILD
  12. padus, sonic and arcsoft, now that's a witch's brew remove those 3 filters then reboot then test a burn at 8x again hope your burner hasn't died
  13. post a burn log of a disk that won't play burn one slower and use verify
  14. most Asus dvd burners are just pioneer drives, however pioneer doesn't support booktyping dvd+r to dvd-rom, that has nothing to do with imgburn for dual layer it's automatic now compusa drives are made by a lot of different companies, if you would copy and post the drive id and firmware from imgburn, we might be able to help with booktyping, when you put a burned disk in and use imgburn in read mode does it show the dvd+r as recorded as dvd-rom?
  15. post a failed burn log of premium single layer media and a filter driver load order may have worn your burner out
  16. well for starters why in the heck did you load vista on that old box? pretty sure the top fsb on that old amd board is 333 running sych ram cpu is the way to go under computer overclock quick report you will get a screen like this post this section
  17. I just started playing around with some dvd+rw's myself in the last few weeks, I even tried to screw one or two up, letting nero write to unformatted ones, they still worked imgburn reported the disk has started format I went back and manually did a full format with Imgburn RW's are an accident waiting to happen, even with ImgBurn
  18. sorry about the 6 version, after googling for 10 minutes on that durn burner, it looks like HP never put out another firmware http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/...285654+28353475 support at hp forum says it's your drive

  21. Loco??????? (!) the top firmware is not the most recent
  22. I would want to know what computer the drive is going in and what the dvd burner will be used for before choosing one.
  23. the 2-512 sticks may have been better memory, the 1 gig stick is probably not as good best thing would be to load all sticks and post that everest information, your bios allows adequate memory settings for balancing the different ram it will require going manual with the cas timings, I had that motherboard some time ago
