I put in a bluray disk i made and everything worked for that old disk

yes i should not have written DVD I should have written bluray disk.

i can download it with the chromebook, but it is going on a windows 7 laptop that does not connect to the internet.

as it is such a small file i assume it needs to connect to get the real file.

what do i do?

i have a BDMV file with certificate and i need to make a DVD with it. I made the original files.

will anything else do this job?

i did try 2 brands of discs and 2 computers!

i downloaded the firmware. i asked LG about updates but they never mentioned that one.

 

 

Try updating the firmware on the drive.

I'm only seeing errors when you're trying to make the drive burn to the 'CMCMAG-BA5-000' discs. If it doesn't like those, try and avoid using them.

i tried burning data files and got the enclosed...

so i tried another software using a BD-RE this time and it worked fine.

but would NOT burn to an BD-R.

up north BD-Rs are very expensive coasters.

what do i do?

tried philips and verbatim.

 

the BLU-RAY Disc rewriter is a LG BE06lu10 it uses standard drivers

ImgBurn can make avchd or blu-ray disc if you provide the correct set of files/folders.

 

ImgBurn burn the files as is. If you have the correct folder structure the disc should work.

 

If Pinnacle doesn't output a propper set of files it's not ImgBurn problem. Search help on their forum.

 

You can find old saved logs via Help menu.

there is no log.

i doubt imgburn can do what i need in avchd or blu-ray. as it would be working from an image.

pinnacle makes one. it is the pinnacle image that does not work correctly.

in dvd, imgburn creates the image and therefore it works fine.

i have been making blu-ray discs for years.

the computer and disc writer are fine.

pinnacle 12 makes menus but they seldom burn correctly with pinnacle 12 and 15.

so i tried imgburn to make a DVD - this worked perfectly.

following the instructions on the site above i tried several times.

they work-incorrectly- on the computer but the tv disc player either spits them out or says it cannot be played.

helpful suggestions welcome.

PPS i guess you are wondering what the heck i am talking about!

well i am making dvds etc with pinnacle studio 12.

it makes videos with multiple menus - but the usually dont work on the TV.

using your great software the menus DO work.

i make DVDs AVCHDs and BLU-Ray

 

to complicate matters the computer with the software does NOT connect to the internet! so the help files do not work - of course

You don't need internet connection for the install. All is needed is in the setup package.

lg blu-ray rewriter (rewriter cos it only came with software to right to BD-RE disc.)

it does write to BD-R discs.

It can only ever work as well as the rest of your system.

 

Burn to a BD-RE first and make sure you're using decent BD-R that your drive actually likes burning to.

 

that sounds like a "get out of any resposibility" clause
