  1. I've tried verify within ImgBurn, but it looks okay. However the disc cannot be read in many DVD-ROM (even try extract the .ISO file and rebuild by PgcEdit or ImgTool Classic). When I force break layer in midpoint (50%/50%) by ImgBurn layer break options, there are no problem. I guess maybe some reason made ImgBurn cannot correctly fill the rest of the disc with dummy information during finalization. ======== ImgBrun:1.3.0.0 This disc also L1<L0 and can identify by eyes. It seems while the program lead-out, there is no enough dummy data. 3. The booktype have correctly set to DVDROM for DVD+R DL media in ImgBurn. But it only can be read in the DVD recorder, other DVD-ROMs cannot. This disc can easily be identified with no 50/50 position by eyes. When I change other .iso files with no 50/50 position .iso files, it?s looks like 50/50 position disc and can be read in other DVD-ROM. ===can be read in DVD-ROM== Disc Information: Status: Complete Erasable: No Sessions: 1 Sectors: 2,367,168 Size: 4,847,960,064 bytes Time: 526:04:18 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 8x DVDå´‡ DL Boundary Information: L0 Data Zone Capacity: 1,434,368 Changeable: No Physical Format Information (ADIP): Disc ID: MKM-001-00 Book Type: DVD+R DL Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 2 Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP) Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 16,580,607 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 2,283,519 Physical Format Information (Last Recorded): Disc ID: MKM-001-00 Book Type: DVD-ROM Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 2 Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP) Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 16,079,039 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 1,630,975 Layer Information: Layer 0 Sectors: 1,434,368 (60.59%) Layer 1 Sectors: 932,800 (39.41%) ===cannot be read in DVD-ROM=== Disc Information: Status: Complete Erasable: No Sessions: 1 Sectors: 2,379,296 Size: 4,872,798,208 bytes Time: 528:45:71 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 8x DVDå´‡ DL Boundary Information: L0 Data Zone Capacity: 1,800,624 Changeable: No Physical Format Information (ADIP): Disc ID: MKM-001-00 Book Type: DVD-ROM Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 2 Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP) Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 16,580,607 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 2,283,519 Physical Format Information (Last Recorded): Disc ID: MKM-001-00 Book Type: DVD+R DL Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 2 Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP) Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 15,358,655 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 1,997,231 Layer Information: Layer 0 Sectors: 1,800,624 (75.68%) Layer 1 Sectors: 578,672 (24.32%)
  4. When I burned some double layer *.iso files ( .mdf files made by ImgBurn),some .iso files (ex: layer 0=60%, layer 1=40%) made disc can easily be identified layer 0 and layer 1 by eye but cannot be read by other dvd-roms. It?s strange that some .iso files look like layer 0 = layer 1 and can be read by others dvd-rom (seems layer 1 have 20% added special mark). When I tried to use Nero Burning ROM 6.6.0.16 in first case, it?s showed layer 0=50%, layer 1=50%. Of course, Nero didn?t set the correct layer break point but it can be read at other dvd-roms. Does someone can help me how to solve this problem? Should I change any setting in ImgBurn or use tools to fix the .iso files.? OS: Windows XP Professional SP2 DVD-R: BENQ DW1640 (BSMB) DVD+R DL disc (MITSUBISHI KAGAKU) 1.Make MDS file by ImgBrun.. --- failed 2.User specified layer break without .mds files. --- failed 3.Change DW1640 firmware=> BSOB --- failed 4.Change DW1640 firmware=> BSJB --- failed 5.Change ImgBurn=>Nero Burning ROM 6.6.0.16 --- OK, but incorrect layer break.
