    ISO to DVD

Thank you spinningwheel. You have been most helpful. To Shamus: The ISO file was given to me by a friend who asked me to reconstitute it into a movie. This led me to do the research I mentioned, and attempt to make a playable movie. Thank you to both.
  2. I used ifoedit to change all references from PAL, to NTSC in all of the .ifo files, and it still won't play. I would not be asking, if I did not exhaust all ideas I know. I am very new to this. Your answer seemed negative torwards my posting. I did not mean to waste anyone's time. Thank you Tony
  3. Gooe evening all: I have a DVD I am trying to backup. When I display the disk in DVD Decrypter, it shows Regions 1,2,3,etc to 8, RCE protection No, & copy protection system type NONE. However, after burning a copy, and trying to play it in my standalone, I get a "Playback Prohibited by Area Limitations" error. Could someone please tell me what else could be causing this? The backup plays fine on the computer's DVD. Thank you Tony

    ISO to DVD

Just want to say thank you to all who answered my last post. I really appreicate your help. I have done much research on the internet concerning the making of DVDs. It seems the more I learn, the more confused I get. What I really need is for someone to tell me the most efficient and least time consuming method of going from an ISO of a movie, to a finished DVD. Please keep in mind that I have a region 1 DVD player which means I have to set the disk to region free, and possibly change the format from PAL to NTSC since region 1 players, from what I understand, cannot play PAL disks. If someone could give me the proper steps to do this, I would very much appreciate it. I know I am asking a lot, but hopefully someone on this group will take the time to help. Thank you again Tony
  5. Good Morning. I am new to ImgBurn, and the process of Burning DVD's in general. I have used Nero, and Sonic software, but this will be the first time using ImgBurn. Some of my burns have been sucessful in playing on my home DVD player. With others, I get an "unable to play due to region restrictions" error. My question is can ImgBurn remove the region codes before burning, and if so how do I do this. I apologize if this has been asked before. I did try and search the forums to see it this was previously covered. Any assistance would be very much appreciated. If ImgBurn does not have this function, perhaps someone could suggest a program that does. I have tried Ifoedit, but without sucess. Regards, and thank you.
