  3. Okay, here's my situation (I wrote a couple days ago under another thread) I have been burning dvds fine for 2 weeks now using dvd shrink/imgtool/imgburn using dvd-rs (Memorex), everything was perfect. Then, I picked up some sony dvd-rws. Thats when the trouble began. Since I have changed the type of dvds I am using, nothing works!! When I am done burning, ImgBurn says disc is "incomplete" under status, whereas before it said "complete" when I was done burning. When I put the disc in my dvd players, they don't playback. I checked a list of compatibility, and BOTH my dvd players are compatible for DVD-RWs. Also, my dvd burner says its supports DVD-RWs. So, if my computer says it likes DVD-RWs, and my DVD players do too, then why the problem? I have changed absolutely nothing in what I am doing, I have only changed the media. Am I supposed to do something with DVD-RWs that I don't do with DVD-Rs? I don't know much about this stuff, so I turn to you guys for help. A copy of the log from ImgBurn when I burn a faulty dvd is below. Actually, now that I think about it there was one other change, I think I might have updated my imgburn to version 1.2.0.0 as well. I dunno, I never get any indiction either from ImgBurn that anything has gone wrong, other than the fact that it says "incomplete". After so called burning, it says "operation successfully completed". Help!! Log: I 09:34:07 ImgBurn Version 1.2.0.0 started! 4. Oh yeah, when its done it says "synchronizing cache" and I do hit verify, but it still says operation completed successfully. Anyhow, im probably jut doing something stupid, Im going to try again, and I will post a log...
  5. I'm not sure...the message on the bottom of the screen says writing leadin when it starts. How can I make it format? I'm sorry, I really don't know much...
  6. Thanks Kev, you are right, I should stick with dvd-rs. I just can't figure out why its saying incomplete in ImgBurn whereas DVD-Rs say complete. There has to be some difference other than my DVD player, which is probably contributing, but i can't be the whole story. Is this typical?
  7. Hello, I would really, really appreciate some help on this. I am using DVD Shrink/ImgTool/ImgBurn to burn DVDs and am relatively new to it. I have been using Memorex DVD-Rs and everything has been perfect. When I ran out of these DVDs I bought a pack of SONY DVD-RW and now nothing plays back on my DVD player!! It works fine on my PC though. In the status box in ImgBurn it says the DVD is incomplete, whereas before it would say complete when it was done burning. I don't think its my DVD player cuz its played other DVD-RWs, plus it says right in ImgBurn that its incomplete, which it didn't do with the DVD-Rs. Does anyone know why this is happening? I don't know much about dvd burning so it could be something I am missing. I am doing everything the same as before, the only thing that has changed is the DVDs I am using. Is there something fancy I need to do with dvd-rws? Thanks!!
