  1. I am getting this exact same warning message "Failed to Read Sectors 0 - 31 - Reason: No Seek Complete" when verifying a burned ISO image using ImgBurn 2.5.8.0. No other warnings/errors in the log. I too am using Verbatim CD-R made in China! It happened with 3 CD-Rs already (tried burning at 16X and 24X), I even tried one near the bottom of the stack. When I run Nero CD-DVD Speed Disc Quality test on the CD-R, it looks perfectly fine (quality score 97).
  2. I'm trying to burn a movie onto a DVD+R DL disc, and I'm getting the "Unable to find any cells that could be used for the layer break" message. Why does it say "Not recommended" after the "Do you want to continue" prompt? What problems could I run into if I tell it to continue to burn this disc?
  3. I think I disabled it in the group policy editor. Did it for security reasons. I'll have to try burning a few more +RW discs to see if that always happens.
  4. I ended up having to reboot Windows before it was recognized. Strange. By autoinsert, do you mean the autoplay feature? I have that disabled.
  5. OK, I upgraded to ImgBurn 2.5.0.0, and then I tried another Verbatim DVD+RW, burned at 4X, and this time the Verify was successful! That other disc must have been bad. But then I closed ImgBurn, and went to Explorer to try to see what was on the disc, and Windows didn't think there was a disc in the drive. So I guess DVD+RW discs don't automatically get finalized - so I fired up ImgBurn again and the Tools > Drive menu was grayed out, so I went into the Verify Disc section, and tried doing Tools > Drive > Close > Disc, and I get an I/O Error (see attached). Am I doing something wrong here? untitled.bmp
  6. On my other computer, I have ImgBurn 2.4.4.0, and I got a "Failed to Read Sector 1152 - Reason: Unrecovered Read Error" during the Verify after I burned a Verbatim DVD+RW disc. I have a Sony-NEC Optiarc 7200A drive, the latest drive firmware, and I thought Verbatim discs are the best. I haven't had any trouble with Verbatim DVD+R or DVD-R, but this is the first time I've tried burning a DVD+RW disc. I burned it at 4X (looks like 4X is the only supported speed), and it doesn't have any dust or scratches on it. Any idea what might have gone wrong? 7. Yeah, it's right there in front of you on the 'Options' tab. Ah, thanks, how did I miss that?!
  8. I just did a burn, and then used a file/folder compare utility to do a diff, and a couple of the files weren't burned. So I checked the log, and it turns out they weren't burned because they are hidden files. If I hadn't bothered to do the diff, I wouldn't have known! While I was using ImgBurn 2.5.0.0, I got a bunch of popups warning me about burning an operating system disc, more than 9 levels of directories, and so on. It would be nice if it would also show a popup to warn me about hidden files that it won't burn. Also, is there an option somewhere where I can enable burning of hidden files by default? I can't find that. Thanks!
