  1. Hi, First, let me say I love Imgburn, been a fan since the early days of DVDD. My brother gave me a home movie on a cd that is a wmv file. Is there anyway I can convert it to a iso so that I can burn it onto a dvd. Thanks in advance for any help. freddyyx
  2. OOOps. The verify thing was all me...I had it checked on the first page,I only unchecked it on the second page. The error thing was strange tho, I used 4 verbs in a row, same cakebox, higher errors with 2.2,lower errors with 2.1,but not by much. I downloaded from Imgburn mirror site 6. I wasnt complaining, I love Imgburn. I just commented because I found it very strange. I'm really not a novice as I've been doing this for a long time with over 1,000 burns. Thanks for listening...I feel better already.
  3. After using Imgburn(which I love) since the beginning, I downloaded the latest version today. After burn, I checked the pi/po, and noticed it was higher than usual. i uninstalled back to the last version, and the errors were back where they used to be! As if that isnt strange enough, now every time I uncheck the Verify box, upon closing Imgburn, its checked again. I cant seem to keep that box unchecked. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  4. Hi, First let me say that Imgburn is the best burning software out there! Ive been a loyal supporter since way back in the early DVDD days...Lightening UK is a genius! Anyway, although Ive burned over 1000 dvds, the same question is always brought up and i dont have the definitive answer. Although I always burn @ 4x, it that really the "best" speed? Is the slower burn always better? Ive heard all the different arguments and I was wondering what you all think. Thanks and......Imgburn rules!!! Freddyyx
  5. First, thanks for all the info! I dont know why it said that for the write speed; that was an already burned disc...here is what it ususlly says: Slimtype DVDRW SOSW-852S PSX3 (USB) Current Profile: DVD-R Disc Information: Status: Empty Erasable: No Free Sectors: 2,297,888 Free Space: 4,706,074,624 bytes Free Time: 510:40:38 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 2x, 4x Pre-recorded Information: Manufacturer ID: TYG02 Physical Format Information (Last Recorded): Book Type: DVD-R Again, thanks. Its great being a part of your community. Freddyyx
  6. First, I'm greatly HONORED, LUK, that you've taken the time to answer me!. I've been a loyal supporter of you for several years, back in the old DVDD days! I realize the image cant grow, but I had clone set to 4500MB when I used it, and here's how imgburn looked, and where I got the readings from: Disc Information: Status: Complete Erasable: No Sessions: 1 Sectors: 2,278,714 Size: 4,666,806,272 bytes Time: 506:24:64 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 3.1x Physical Format Information (Last Recorded): Book Type: DVD-R Part Version: 5 I LOVE your programs, and highly respect you....so probably this matter is just some screwup on my end. Thanks again for the quick response...I feel like I should print it and keep it forever as I'm such a fan!! Freddyyx
  7. HI everyone, this will sound a bit strange but here goes! After making an iso with either shrink or DVD clone, the finished size is, say about 4500MB. Then I burn with Imgburn and the final, sucessfully burned disc reads at like 4666MB. You can tell from looking at the burned side that its closer to the edge than I thought it should be at the noted iso size. Ive burned the same iso with both imgburn and clone dvd,and unbelievably, the imgburn one is bigger! I dont think I'm crazy, so how could this be possible? Thanks in advance for any help. Freddyyx
