  1. I've used ImgBurn with DVD Shrink for several years. No copyright infringements here... Since my work computer has been updated to Windows 7, and it appears that there aren't any safe and secure DVD Shrink downloads, I'm looking for a solution to replace my DVD Shrink to ImgBurn workflow. So are there any suggestions here for a replacement for DVD Shrink? We have Nero Platinum, but even though I was able to create an ISO file, I guess the ones I tried weren't the right type for DVD compliance (admittedly, I am very green with the Nero Platinum software). I also tried doing everything within ImgBurn, but I want to be able to select specific files on the disk. For example, a company sends me a DVD with four thirty-minute episodes. I want to be able to rip/burn the individual episodes to individual disks. Any suggestions?
  2. Thanks for the help. Did you put the Optiarc 7260 in a Bravo II machine? The current drive in my Bravo II is the Plextor 716A - which is an IDE drive. Primera's tech support says they haven't tried the Optiarc 7260 drive that you mentioned. They did say the AD 5260S would work, but if you've tried the 7260 model, and it works, I might get that drive. Either way, I would also need to buy the SATA upgrade kit (or look for an old IDE drive online).
  3. Here is my latest log: 10_12_11 c.log The attached log includes the following: - Unsuccessful attempts to burn to the Plextor DVDR 716A that is in the Bravo II duplicating machine. - Successful attempt to burn to HL-DT-ST DVD+RW which is an internal drive on my computer using the same media - Verbatim 8X - (94971). The log also includes an attempt with the same flavor of media from a different spindle. Although the verify failed, the DVD actually plays fine. I'm assuming that it was just the media on that particular spindle that caused the burn to fail on the Bravo II machine. I'm sure you can pull some details from the log that I don't understand. Thanks for your help.
  4. I'm having a problem recording a disk image to Verbatim media using our Bravo II drive. I don't think I'm doing anything differently - I've been able to burn to this drive before using the same flavor of media. Error message: Device Not Ready (Tracking Servo Failure) On another attempt, I received this Error Message: Device Not Ready (Unable to Recover TOC) 10_12_11.log
  5. It's not a copyrighted disc. I created a program in Final Cut Pro; exported a .mov file; imported into DVD Studio Pro and created a DVD Project in DVD Studio Pro; and then burned to disc using Roxio Toast 11. Then I used ImgBurn to copy the disc (rather than using Roxio to make other copies). After following your suggestion to update the firmware, ImgBurn worked in making the copies, but the disc would not playback in the computer. Actually, the first menu would appear (which has an animated background), but when you click "Play Movie", windows media player freezes.
  6. Thank you. After the firmware update, the copy went smoothly, but when trying to play the copied disk on the computer, windows media player froze each time I tried to play the DVD. The original DVD plays fine.
  7. I burned a DVD using Roxio. I brought that disc to my computer that has ImgBurn already installed, hoping to make my copies. I created an image file, but I couldn't burn it to a DVD. I'm using Verbatim disks. I use ImgBurn all the time, but this is the first time I tried copying a disk that I had created with Roxio Toast. I 09:21:31 ImgBurn Version 2.5.5.0 started! 9. I've been using IMG Burn for a few months now without any major issues. Here's my scenerio: I manage a local government access television station where I use DVD Shrink and IMG Burn to transfer files from one DVD to another DVD for on-air playback. Beginning a couple of days ago, these DVD's are not being read by our DVD Carousel player in our master control rack, thus not making it to air. The carousel is fine when it loads DVD's that are created as one-offs in my edit suite. I'm using the same media in both situations. I know it's kind of vague, but I'd appreciate any suggestions. John
