Thanks for replying, but i am pretty sure it worked on 2.4x speed before. But somehow, it just messed up one day and i cannot recall what triggered it. So, for the situation now is that i can only do 4.0x?

I have removed the device and im pretty sure it is DMA now. and something did actually change, the burning speed has moved from too slow to too fast. I requested 2.4x, and before the reinstall of the device, it gave me around 1.0x, and now after removing the device, it is 4.0x. yes, i've read that when i first checked the FAQ, but i checked device manager and seems like DMA is enabled, but problem remains

My writer works fine before but suddenly, the write speed has slow down alot.
