Oh, now I get it, thanks. Out of curiosity, what would happen if there were no dvd file?

Hi, I am quite new at burning DL discs, but I just have one question. I was wanting to burn a disc, but the thing I'm burning consists of 2 files, a .dvd file and a .iso file. I get that both are used as images, but if both are there and part of the same thing, does it matter which one I pick? The iso is the large file with all the content, the .dvd is only 1kb. Appreciate the clarification
