I find really useful the ImgBurn ability to assign DVD-Video volume labels automatically based on the Video Manager text data, i.e. disk title from the VIDEO_TS.IFO table VMG_TXTDT_MG. When I'm about to burn a DVD-Video disk in Build mode, it prompts "I couldn't help but notice that you've not specified a 'Volume Label' for this image. Being the nice program that I am, I've gone to trouble of generating one for you!", and the label is automatically filled out with the disk title provided it has one. It would be great to make the program even nicer by adding the ability to populate the BD volume label automatically from the Blu-ray metadata. Without a doubt, LIGHTNING UK! knows that the BD English volume title is stored in BDMV\META\DL\bdmt_eng.xml file within <di:name> XML tags. For disks with multiple language support, there cold also be a bdmt_spa.xml file for Spanish, etc. Seems like a logical progression of things to generate BD volume labels automatically based on this title. Anyway, thanks for this excellent piece of software!

Thank you very much for such a prompt response! Will try it on another PC. Procuring different types of the Verbatim DL media would be more problematic for me. Good to know about the Reserve Track command on BD-RE. After reading the ImgBurn Settings guide, I noticed that 'Reserve Track' is optional for DVD+R and mainly useful for overburning. Just curious if it's also the case for BD-R.

It's an AMD Turion X2 RM-74 based HP dv7-1400 laptop. The burner is connected through eSATA port. Normally I use the burner in an external Vantec eSATA enclosure but also tried connecting it directly through SATA-to-eSATA cable with the same result.

I'm unable to burn 50GB BD-R DL with Pioneer BDR-205. When attempting a burn, ImgBurn status bar shows Reserving Track... and stops at that. Time Elapsed timer keeps counting. Light on the drive stays off. Waited for up to half an hour, no change. Clicking Cancel logs Abort Request Acknowledged but it never actually stops the process. The only way to stop it is to turn off the power. After that, the disc is recognized by ImgBurn as empty. Tried burning Verbatim 50GB 2x media VERBAT-IMb-000 and TDK 50GB 2x media TDKBLD-RFA-000, both made in Japan. Both types of media from the same batches was previously burned successfully with LG BH10LS30 burner, so I can't blame the media quality. However, I can burn without problems 50GB BD-RE DL media (TDKBLD-Wfa-000) as well as any 25GB BD-R/RE SL media (VERBAT-IMc-000, VERBAT-IMw-000, VERBAT-IM0-000). Upgraded the firmware to the latest version (1.11), then exchanged the burner for a new one but the issue remained. Below is the log of an unsuccessful burn up until the moment it hangs and I have to reboot the computer. Also information screen for the media used the way it looked after the unsuccessful burn attempt. At least I hope it's not a coaster. Thanks in advance for any help!
