  1. I have noticed that if you have a proxy dependent system for your internet access (like mine), I find that the program update function doesn't work, it tends to hang and then give an error message after you have made your coffee (yours, I don't drink coffee). So, can you add an option to specify a proxy to use for the program update?
  2. So how does that chair feel like to sit on?
  3. Thanks, when I booted it for the first time after installing, it came up with a balloon saying a restricted driver is required to run the system properly (graphics card). And I installed it that way. No other drivers were needed, unlike windoze, which needs time to set everything up correctly. I had to run the update manager a few times for it to pick up all the updates.
  4. Sorry for resurrecting an old (old!) topic, but I just installed Ubuntu 7.10 on my machine . I am using GAG to dual boot my machine. I just installed Wine tonight and after some basic learning of using Wine, I launched the installer from the terminal, and installed ImgBurn . I had to change the interface to ASPI for it to see my drive, even though I set the Wine compatibility to XP. (edit: by leaving it on the default of Win2000, it now works with SPTI.) I think this time, Linux is here to stay. Programs I currently use: Firefox, Thunderbird, Audacity, and to a lesser extend, OpenOffice.org. The only driver I had to install was the display driver for my nVidia 7300 GT Sonic. I think I have become a convert (except for games and watching DVDs).
  5. Yes, I would agree about the PS2. I have noticed skips here and there during playback, not so with my new writer. Unfortunately, its the only standalone DVD player I have, so I have to make do. It was one of the last big versions when the slimline version came out (I bought mine Feb 2004).
  6. Wow, it looks better than the purpose it was built for .
  7. Also, the infamous Semaphore Timeout error. Maybe your usb port isn't 2.0?
  8. The only English I know is not American .
  9. Happy birthday from me too.
  10. Just have a look at my LG GSA 4167B, it also supports DVD-RW DL .
  11. Windoze media player 11 looks like Vista, and I hate Vista (XP all the way!). The majority of people with XP machines have SP2, I also have an SP1 install disc lying around somewhere, apart from a few cosmetic changes, SP2 feels just like SP1.
  12. Try removing /portable first, like: imgburn /savesettings "C:\test.ini", run and then close. That might work.
  13. Yep, I use Daemon Tools, too .
  14. When I bought my 4167B, asked the guy if there is such a think as a DL RW, he said yes they will be coming out soon. Yeah right, I don't drink Tui, it's been just over two years since .
  15. =)) I love it! Btw, if memory serves me correct, that "oh no" included with ImgBurn is from Microsuck Golf 1.0 Multimedia Edition. A month or two ago I made a backup of this ancient game, and decided to listen to all the wav's on it. Am I correct? (That's wet, That's in the trees, Be the club!).
  16. I have two LG burners, my older one displayed the progress fully, I haven't tested my new drive yet.
  17. Just a small suggestion now, if you export to the same file again, maybe the log could show something like "Graph export merged successfully!". Anyway, I would have posted this in Imgburn general if I didn't have this misunderstanding.
  18. That's normal?! I was busy panicking because I thought I had overwritten my burn graph with the verify graph. I don't have DVDinfo Pro so I had no idea that both graphs had merged. Thanks corny.
  19. I decided to create a coaster of one of my DVD+Rs to see if my drive will burn at 20x like the box says, which it did. I turned on exporting of graph data so I could show you the results. This is where the problem lies. Using discovery mode, after burning and verify, I expected two graph files, one for the burn, and one for the verify. But I only found one file. The log confirms that the burn graph was overwritten by the verify graph, and the last modified date on the file was 8:09 pm (same time shown in the log). 20. I always turned this off, because sometimes I experienced a crash with your previous tool after a long read. And it sounds cheesy (sorry!).
  21. Have you done the same for VIDEO_TS folders with incorrect build settings?
