  1. I have some TDK dual layer (8GB) DVD-R but I don't want to waste them. Will checking "Test mode" perform the burn without touching the actual disk? I'm Installing the drivers right now, I'll let you know my results. Also I might be able to find some verbatim dual layer ones.... EDIT: Ok. Installed the drivers, still get the error (with the cheap DVDs). I'm gonna go to my old pc now and try to burn the same ISO to a cheap DVD using my old 7 year old DVD drive and my new one, to see if the drive is actually the problem. Once I get my hands on Verbatim disks I'll tell you how that went EDIT 2: I've plugged the drive to my old pc and... wow it is actually burning the disk! (well in test mode right now, but i'm gonna burn it normally once it ends, So where does that lead us? Drive works fine on other computer even with shitty DVD-Rs. Driver problem? SATA port? I'll check the cable and port once I finish burning. EDIT 3: The disk burned perfectly and is working (the cheap DVD). I tried burning the same ISO on my pc but on a different SATA port and... Boom! It works just fine. Time to test the cable before comluding that my SATA port is busted. Final Edit: Well, seems like I now have 5 working SATA ports instead of 6... Damn. Anyway at least now I am aware of the motherboard problem. I think I'll RMA it when I'll be able to live without a PC for a month. Thank you LIGHTNING UK! for helping me, even when my problem did not even come from imgburn Keep developing this awesome program! Yet another EDIT: AND NOW IT'S WORKING FINE? WTF I am really confused. I connected an hdd to that sata port and it didn't get recognized in BIOS nor did windows boot. Now I put back the DVD to that port and it works like charm... Maybe a cable has been moved out of place? I have no idea. I'm glad everything works again. And again, thank you for all your help!
  2. Ok here's the "Family Tree" log: I can translate anything you need, just tell me (if needed). My drive is this one if that helps. Thank you.
  3. Thanks for your reply. I had some DVD-RW lying around, so I tried with them. The same error. Here's the log: IDK if it's better quality disk or not... If you want I'll go buy another DVD tomorow to test. However On my previous PC (I'm using a new computer) all my Wii games were burned on those UME02 disks, and they worked fine. So this might be a hardware problem with my dvd drive?
  4. Hello guys, I've been using imgburn happily for the past 6 years. Today I wanted to burn a Wii game I used to love but lost a long time ago. So I oppened up my most trusted burn program, followed the normal procedure but after trying to burn it... This happened: I have no Idea what to do, I tried with different DVD disks, but the same error occured. Here's the log: There are 3 more entries but they contain the same data, as I was trying to burn the same ISO. The same error also popped up when I tried burning another ISO. SO what's the problem here? Is my DVD drive broken? (it reads fine, but on burn I get this) Thank you!
  5. Thanks for the help. I can't find the settings they are talking about. But I'll look into it. If I resolve my issue, I'll let you know. Thanks again for your help!
  6. Yes the program "crashes" every time I close it, despite if I performed any tasks or not. One thing that might help you is that in the crash report it says that the unit crashed is the program "nvinit.dll_unloaded". With some searching on google I found that this has to do with the nvidia drivers. I'll look into tweaking some settings. If you want I can provide you with the full crash report, but since my windows is in Greek, I don't know how much it would help you.
  7. Thanks for your reply. It wasn't the antivirus... I disabled it and the same problem occurred. Any other Ideas?
  8. I tried re-installing and nothing. The problem still exists. Any help?
  9. Hello, this is my first post here, although I've been using ImgBurn for more than 4 years now and I've never had a problem untill now. Yesterday I installed ImgBurn on my new PC and used it to read a disk and burn some other images I had. After finishing my work, I pressed the X button. The program closed, and then windows poped up an error that ImgBurn has stopped working. This happens every single time I press the X button or I exit the program through File-> Exit. I went to the logs and all the logs end with "ImgBurn closed!" so the programs is terminated sucessfuly, but windows think that it's not. Any ideas on how to fix this? This MAY be a bug, but I didn't see anyone else reporting it, so I assume it's just a fault on my computer. OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit CPU: i7 3770k If you need any more info/screenshots let me know. Thanks! My latest log: I 13:37:18 ImgBurn Version 2.5.7.0 started!
