It was mmalves avi that pissed her off I think after he replied to her converting question. Try and help people and thats all the thanks you get.

Most problems with kids on the net seem to come from social networking sites like Facebook & Bebo. I would have no problem whatsoever if they were shut down - whats the suicide total in Bridgend up to now 17?

So far a Shamus avi goes perhaps he's trying to give he/she/it mouse to mouse resuscitation :)

those Bridgend suicides are crazy...but the av's that's used here you'll find on any forum...so i dont see a problem

  1. Yes it is after the cue sheet has been created and loads it up again.

it happens when i save the cue sheet outside of the folder where the songs are located...so the cue sheet points to the songs in the folder with the unicode character...its not a big deal though...it works just fine if i save the cue sheet in the folder containing the songs...i just noticed it when i was gonna burn some songs from different folders :balloon:

  2. You say tomato we say tomatoes.

Lets call the whole thing off

    :whistling: L_UK way is better.

sounds good to me  english is my 2nd language so i made a mistake...so yeah lets move on hehe

  3. I'd be interested to hear where the files are coming from that contain v2.4 tags.

All the testing I'd done was with my own stuff that I'd encoded rather than downloads. Any tagging program will tell you the version of the ID3 tags used in the file. I just happen to use 'ID3-TagIt' because it's the first free one I came across and it looked pretty decent.

The ACM issue was a late bug introduced during a tidy up / bit of optimisation at the VERY end of the beta cycle. What can I say... these things happen.

If MS would update their filter to deal with v2.4 tags then this wouldn't ever have been a problem, but it seems even the newest filters in Vista still can't handle them. Shame really.

i use foobar as my player and i edit tags with it as well...and by default its set to use id3 2.4...and i think alot of other programs are set to that as well...not sure what 2.4 has that 2.3 doesnt have...nothing i need lol

    from wikipedia:

Software adoption for ID3v2.4 has come around in the last couple of years; however, the majority of files still use older versions of ID3v2 and there are very few applications that fully support all of the frame types enumerated in the ID3v2 specification.
  4. i get this error when burning a cd, and i get the same error everytime (just for this cd)...but i burned a different cd just fine...so i'm wondering if its the mp3 thats bad (although it worked fine on my computer) or if its the cds (i use Verbatim cds)

  5. I get this error on cue sheets created with foobar or imgburn. It works fine with Pioneer 111L and Benq 1655. The LG drive has updated firmware and i'm using verbatim cd-r (i know its cmc but who cares lol) i'm using xp pro.

so i'm assuming this is not imgburn but a hardware issue?

  6. i noticed in imgburn it says God, I'm bored. Might as well be listening to Genesis. i assume this is because i left imgburn open for a while....and i also noticed all the other random things it says on the bottom of imgburn every time i open it up lol :teehee:

  7. the only other burning app i use is EAC and thats for audio cds...the only bad thing about it...is that it doesnt support non normal characters in the cue sheet...so i gotta edit it before i can burn the audio cd

  8. LOCO (and, to an extent, Altercuno),

Some software companies push beta releases on the general public and basically have them be their beta testers. M$ did this with IE7 and other stuff, including Vista (yuk!), IIRC. In the DVD field, we see stuff like AnyDVD and DVDFab pushing out many betas.

Sometimes, something doesn't quite work right with a new feature or idea. That's a fact. Witness the crap going on at the DVD Fab forum with rips not being compliant. So, releasing betas, while it has its advantages of having a wider test group, also in a way, impugns the product when things don't go 100%.

i agree...dvdfab should have internal beta testers instead of having its users test it...dvdfab works fine to rip movies to the harddrive...but i'd rather use vobblanker or pgcedit to remove unwanted stuff.
