  1. That explains it. Mine is a LG laptop drive, and nothing happens when I try to PIPO. Thank you for the information! //C
  2. That did the trick! Thanks! Wonder what I had messed up in the settings to get those short capitalized file names? Oh well. I purchases a couple of spindles of Verbatim DVD-R 4.7GB 8X DataLifePlus the other day. Seems to hum along nicely with ImgBurn. Now I only to have to find out why I am not able to run a PIPO scan in DVDInfoPro, but that's another thread.... All in all, seems like ImgBurn is becoming one of those treasures I put on all computes I use. There's not many programs like that for me. ImgBurn seems to be pretty perfect. Sorry about the OT rant. //C
  3. Hi, Which format(s) should I use when burning CDs and DVDs which are to be used on PC, car stereo (mp3 enabled) and DVD players? I had it set to ISO9660 Level 1 + UDF and got short capitalized file names on everything. So I wonder what's "normal" these days. What would be the default setting that comes with most burner software? //C
  4. Yes, they look indentical. I will try one more time (and waste a couple of disks) to see if the same thing happens. //C
  5. I guess I'm not being clear here. Sorry! I know how to output to an ISO, but I was hoping I didn't have to create an ISO first and then burn it. It would take twice as long. Being able to burn the DVD folders directly to the device is what I was looking for. As I said in another post I found out how by adding the directory above AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS and then burn. Then the DVD played. I could not find any information on how to add the folders already created to get a working DVD. //C
  6. Hi again, I actually found the solution myself: The first time I selected the two folders AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS for burning but that DVD wouldn't play. Then I tried to add the directoy above, the one containing AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS, then the DVD played fine. My log: I 09:52:31 ImgBurn Version 2.2.0.0 started! 7. I looked for a guide and searched the forum, but could not find anything about burning existing dvd directories. I found something on another forum about having to create an image first and then burn it. I do not understand why that makes a difference though. I will look some more and post the log if I can't figure it out. Thanks. //C
  8. Hi, I have a program I use to make DVDs from my own movie files. This program also burns the disk. However, I wanted to try to use ImgBurn to burn the disk instead, so I burnt the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders on to the DVD, but it's not recognized as a DVD and won't play. The other one burnt with the other program works. How do I burn working DVDs with ImgBurn? I'm still a newbie when it comes to these things. so please bear with me for now //C
  9. Hi, I am running ImgBurn with DVDInfoPro. I am able to get the information after burn from DVDInfoPro, and I am able to run a CRC error scan. However, I am not able to run a PIPO scan. When I click the PIPO scan icon the scan window opens with "Start" greyed out but nothing happens. I press "Stop" and nothing happens. Am I missing someting obvious, or? //C
  10. Hi, I have been playing around with ImgBurn the last few days and I must say I am impressed. To me it seems it could be used as my default CD/DVD burner since I use Winamp for music CDs which can't easily be created with ImgBurn. Are there other people here using ImgBurn for all their day to day burning needs? If so, are there any limitations I should be aware of before I get rid of my old bloated Sonic based burner stuff? //CD
