Update: I flashed the drive with the Samsung SH-S183a firmware (original mfgr of this TSST drive). Same error on DL. So I went back to the TSST firmware. Then got the Verbatim media, and all is good again. No errors on 2 DL burns (that gave me errors before). I guess I'm a customer for life. Thanks again, Eric

Understood. So should I try a write again but at 2.4x speed or is it being forced to write at that speed already? I'll try a new DL media. Sounds like Verbatim is the way to go, based on the posts on this forum.

It seems to write fine, but then gives me an error at 50% on verify everytime. SL media burns fine. Help. Using IB 2.3.2.0. Using Playo DVD+R DL 2.4x media but burning at slowest speed. TSSTcorp DVD+-R TS-H653A with current firmware D500. Here's why I know it's not the media... Just migrated from an older computer with a Pioneer DL drive that burned the same media fine with the same version of ImgBurn.
