I have tried to make backup of one of my games... It failed because disc drive didn't support BitSetting, so I would like to buy new drive (External).. Maybe anyone could tell if this drive will work? http://www.google.com/products/catalog?oe=...um=4#ps-sellers or you could make a recommendation? And please, something cheap.. :)

Make sure you include a copy of the program's log in your post....

you may have to update your firmware and not buy a new drive,,,,

It's not problem of ImgBurn, it's problem of drive, my drive is HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T20N, and it doesn't support BitSetting...

is that your firmware version --> WY04 (19th March, 2008) (gsat20nwy04.exe)

Nero InfoTool 4 says:

also ImgBurn has a BookType option for LG dvd-rw's

How about getting a Pioneer 116/117 (or 216/217) in an external enclosure of your choice? :thumbup:

Yes, I want external, because I have laptop.. :teehee:

Anyway, thank you all for your help and support! ;):)

Yes, HL-DT-ST is LG.

You'll need to get a firmware update from whoever made your laptop as the ones on the LG site aren't for drives with special (OEM?) firmware.

Laptop is made by Asus, there are no firmware updates...

I found one (Left side), but it doesn't work, tried "ASUS Live Update", it says that 'There is no need to update the environment'

well the easiest route would be buying a new external burner indeed....

this one looks good:

The DVR-X122 External DVD/CD Writer supports 18x write speeds on both DVD-R/+R

along with the capability to write at 10x speed on DVD-R/+R dual/double layer media.

This External DVD/CD Writer easily connects to your PC through an available USB 2.0 port.

sorry but, im just a Pioneer fan!!!
