Read Error On BackUps

Trying to burn a backup ISO of a 360 game. Completely Burns and verified correctly. I had the Lay Break Set and everything.

Anyway, I know you are not here to help with these problems but I think it might be a problem with my burner.

Game loads up, after a bit I get a disc read error. I have nothing running in the background and restarted before burning.

I am using Vertibam DVD+R DL 2.4x Singapore discs. Burning at 2x Speed

OS: Vista Basic

Now I'm not sure what the Book Type does or how it effects games. But My DVD Burner is not under the book type tabs.

I bought my computer from a guy who had built it from Fry's Electronics parts.

Under Destination it says: DVDRW IDE 16X (F:)

Checked under Drivers and same thing. I also tried updating the driver. Said it was up-to-date.

I would put a Log up but I reinstalled ImgBurn and lost the logs.

Any Help or Ideas would be great.

Thanks

Verify the disc against the image file as that's the only way to know if it was a good burn or not. And next time you're burning, leave Verify enabled ;)

You might also want to try burning at 4x to see if you get a better quality burn.

These are your available speeds. Some burners allows lower rated media to be burned at a higher speed.

I 20:43:29 Source Media Type: DVD+R DL (Book Type: DVD+R DL) (Disc ID: MKM-001-00) (Speeds: 2.4x, 4x)

Some burners like to burn at higher speeds. Slow is not always the best one.

I guess your No-Name burner is actually a burner from Emprex/BTC. They left the scene some years ago.

However it's a rather old model, so I do think a new burner will save you the current cost of producing coasters.
