My wife recently (yesterday evening, 30 October, Aust East Daylight Saving time zone) visited www.CopyThatGame.com while searching for software to backup some games we own. She downloaded their software at the cost of AUD34.34 (about USD29.95), which, when installed, turned out to be ImgBurn version 2.4.2. I only found out after the fact and immediately searched for ImgBurn, finding your site and the statement that your software is free and your licence text prohibiting anyone reselling ImgBurn.

We thought you should know.

Interestingly, on installing, the software immediately went to your web site recommending an upgrade. Also, the first attempt failed and she is now trying to recover her money through PayPal using the failure as the reason. With your permission, we may may need to escalate the reason to a breach of software license.

The Management is all too painfully aware of these crooks. I'm not sure there's anything that can be done about them (the Beta Team members may know more), other than making sure the truth is as widely known as possible.

A quick search of this forum would have shown you posts about the problem by other victims; here's a couple of recent ones:

One of the above includes a link to advice on how to claim a refund.
