Here is the error message I keep getting. Generally it will get about half way then give me a write address error but lately I can't even get to 1 percent.

The thread LFC mentions was my original post when I had the Philips 8631 that was giving me problems. Apparently, the Philips 8600 series can be cross-flashed to a BenQ 1620, while the Philips 8700 series can be cross-flashed to a BenQ 1640 (which is what I did when I got my new drive). I should have tried to cross-flash the "defective" Philips 8631 to a BenQ 1620 to see if it improved things any. However, if I would have done that and still had problems, it would have voided the warranty and I wouldn't have been able to get the drive replaced.

Happy one, please explain why you're calling these discs coasters.

Do you have a log to show us or anything?

Do you get the program to verify what it burns? If not, now might be a good time to start doing so.

Thanks for the quick response I will try and get the log to you. I just never had any issues with 1.2 and started 1.3 and havent gotten a good disk yet.

Well I can't think for the life of me what it could be, that's why I'm hoping the log will give us more info.

Don't forget about the verify part too please.

I tried it again and it worked fine. I did use the verify option the only thing I can think of was that I had AnyDVD running I turned it off because ImgBurn told me to but I probably needed to reboot. I did a soft reboot but probably needed to do a hard reboot before I burned them. All is fine now. THank you for your help. I will see if my Paypal account is still working and get you a donation to this great project and all your hard work.
