Hello good people,

I had my 360 flashed yesterday with the newest ixtreme firmware, since then i have been trying my damndest to burn a back up (GTA Add ons)

I am useing the following:-

Sony dvd rw AW-G170A DRIVE

OR

Sony dvd rw DRU-810A DRIVE---- this is my preffered drive though

Aone premium DVD+R DL 240 MINS 8.5GB DISCS

IMGBURN LATEST VERSION

I have followed what seems to be all the tutorials that the world has to offer.

THE PROBLEM!!!

I get to 50% everytime and then imgburn winds down and produces a error box

I have done the layerbreak both set at auto calculate and user specified with no difference to the out come of the session

and also varied the burn speed between 2 and 2.4 only never no more or any less

and i am also burning from .dvd not .iso

This is my burn log from imgburn

A newer burner may be able to burn those blanks, but in the end you'll still get a low quality burn. Even Aone noticed how bad that dye was and doesn't use it anymore in their blanks.

Point taken and understood sir, Thanks for you time.

This is another problem i've just run into useing my other drive

My link

Any Ideas whats up here? It doesnt even buffer.

ps i've had to create the link as i'm unsure how to add the picture image correctly

That one also has no support, or very poor support, if any, for those blanks :(

LOL ok well thank you for your help, time and patience sir, You can now consider me a verbatim convert.

I suppose on the bright side i now have somewhere to put all 10 of my hot mugs of coffee lol

I'm hoping as theres no reply from eilien that the advice worked??

i have just opted to purchase 10 verbatim dvd rw dl that state x8 for £25 insted of 25 memorex dvd rw dl that state 2.4 for the cut down price of £19.99,

Trouble being that i've just made myself a lovely coaster should i be burning at x8 or stay at a lower speed? thanks in advance

Please post the log of that burn (look in ImgBurn's Help menu) in your old thread so that we can see if there's something to be improved :)

10 verbatim discs for 25 quid?! Did they have big windows?

10 verbs should be ~£10 if not less.

Hello there, i've just burnt off two attempts at a xbox 360 back-up useing verbatim x8 discs, mkm 003-00.

the trouble is they are both coasters, My first go was @ x2 everything burnt fine and i must say it put a smile on my face, which was soon wiped off when i put it into my xbox to test only to find it said play DVD rather than play GAME.

And then exactly the same occurance when i went to the other extreme and did a burn @ x8.

Should i be trying the speeds in between or is there something much more obvious that i should be doing

Thanks in advance.

Verify your burns.

Assuming it passes, read the 'pinned' xbox360 topic, there's nothing else to say on the matter besides that.

LOL yes i really did pay £24.99 but as the shop "maplin" is a two minute walk away I thought I'd give them a shot just this once,

I'm currently doing a burn @ x4 with verification on.

My fingers are so crossed it hurts.
