**Edit: I see that the MKM-003 discs might be an issue? Maybe I should go back to the MKM-001 discs????

================================================================================================================================

Very Frustrating. I'm posting the "right pane" and the burning log. So far, the score is: Coasters=9, Success=1 :'(

Also, is there any program I could use to verify the integrity of a .dvd/.iso file-set?

I'm using Verbatim +R DL and I've had ONE successful burn. Wow, I'll never need to buy drink coasters again!!!

Any help would be very appreciated. :huh:

Here's the logs:

Many Thanks, Lightning! I've clued into the 003 versus 001 possibility. Can it really be that finicky/simple? Wow. I would have hoped that upgrading to the latest firmware on my burner would have taken care of that. Now I wish I had the logs from that one successful burn I had to see if it was a "001" disc...

Regardless, THANKS for your reply.

Not just the 003 Vs 001 thing, you should try the other available write speeds/cleaning the drive/new batch of discs (even with the same mid).

Again, huge appreciation for your help. I'll try making some more coasters at different speeds >_< and I'll pick up a cleaning kit.

It's frustrating. I had three single discs and managed to get one good burn out of those after a LOT of reading so I went and bought a spindle of 30 figuring I had it licked.

Oh well, I guess it just supports the saying, "The only constant is change!"... :wacko:

OK, so I've been experimenting this evening and have this to report:

After a few different shots at settings, I tried burning at 8x. It seems to work VERY well.

I've been successful in burning a number of backups now.

The Verbatim +R DL is the magic. I'm using the "003" version of the media and running ImgBurn at 8x when I burn.

Again, huge props to Lightning UK. Many thanks for your continued support! :D
