ImgBurn just hang

When I open ImgBurn, it just hang at the "Searching for SCSI/ATAPI drives".

 

Please advise.

Do other burning programs (except Nero) work properly? Are you using an up-to-date virus scanner?

Well, nero works and my virus scan is top-notch so no problem with virus. But i like imgburn

 

Used to work well in my winxp home until last week when i upgrade to winxp pro sp2, imgburn doesnt work anymore.

Well your ASUS DVDROM is the problem. A query of it's regional code is hanging.

 

Nothing I can do, in a properly working system, it should work fine.

Lancermaqi, Try going into system devices and deleting the dvd rom. Then unplug dvd rom from ide cable and reconnect. Restart puter and let OS find the device again............. this might just work for you. Good Luck, let us know.

lancermaqi, Since your trying my suggestion, maybe after your done that you might try also deleting the imgburn from your puter and re-download a fresh copy....... Hope this works out for you

 

P.S Don't forget to check your jumper settings are set right on the sony drive. IE/ slave, master, cable select.
