Have you tried burning at 4x? Try with high quality media such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks.

Yes I have tried 4x. Is TDK DVD-R poor quality? How is one blank different from the next?

Thanks for the help.

I 19:12:49 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: CMC MAG-M01-00) (Speeds: 4x, 8x)

The dye used to manufacture those discs is known to be low quality. From our experience Verbatim (non-value line) and Taiyo Yuden are the best you can get.

Is the Verbatim white inkjet dvd-r part of the value series?
