Does this mean there's something wrong with my drive? Is it bad?

Hello again,

I have a new inconvenience... Nothing bad I hope.

I burn this image and everything works fine until verify starts popping I/O errors upon finishing.

I try verify with another drive and everything seems fine, no errors pop up.

So I'm puzzled... I open the .vob file which has the problem and luckily it's only 2:22 min. long, so I watch it whole first on one drive then on the other.

The first drive with the bad verify can't play it through, it stops around 1:54. The second drive plays it fine from start to end.

What's this? Is something wrong with my dvd-writer? Is it bad?

Here's the log of the first verify:

Hello L.UK,

I will try different write speeds on future projects. Thanks.

On the other hand, this might be a different issue altogether, but we always come to this, so I'll just ask:

Why do you recommend DAO/SAO?

The only reason why I use 'Icremental' is that when I read Cynthia's guide, I inferred from her description that it was the safest choice, being it "interruption-proof" and all that. You know stability has never been a big feature with Windows.

I used to have many write errors before (reason why I read the guide), and after I moved to 'Incremental' never again have I had a writing process halt on me again. Verify is a different story, but still the errors have been few and small.

So, why is it that DAO/SAO is default? I don't get it.

Thanks again,

and sorry if this goes too off topic.
