ERROR: Cannot write medium- Incompatible format

Well I did a scan to see if my drivers worked and were updated and it said I was fine. Then I checked if my computer is the correct specs to burn these disks I am using a memorex DVD+R DL 8.5GB risk x8. After about 3 seconds i get the error and I am very confused.

Yours is a Dell (or from a Dell) machine, correct?

 

If so, you'll probably need to use binflash (Get the 'Win32 GUI' version) to get the 1.12 firmware on that drive... and I don't know if it'll still work properly after that.

 

Still, it's no good to you right now anyway is it :)
