Video jerky after burn

brandyboy

Recommended Posts

I`ve burnt several mkv files to disc using tsMuxerGUI to remux to AVCHD and Imgburn to burn to DVD9 D/L. I burn at the lowest speed..2x. The resulting video is very slightly jerky now and again and sometimes freezes for a second or two. Any suggestions please.

1x is not an option here, it was burned at 2.4x and you disabled the verify so we can't realy know if it was a decent burn.

Burn one disc at 8x (than lower if the problem persist) and leave the verify enabled, you are using 8x rated media after all.

Post back a log with burn and verify enabled.

There is a firmware update for your player on Sony site http://esupport.sony.com/CA/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=BDPS370&SelectOS=42#div_pos_30

Okay. I`ve done as suggested. I`ve upgraded the firmware for Bluray burner and player and using Verbatim DVD+R DL discs. I`ve tried burn speeds from 2x to 8x. But the burnt video stll freezes for a few seconds every 10 minutes or so. The m2ts file from the BMVD folder plays perfect in VLC. I`ve tried taking that and remuxing it again, then burning with Imgburn. Same result. Is there anyway I can burn this file straight a DVD9 as a AVCHD file. I`m gettin fed up of throwing discs away !!!

The burn and verify looks good, ImgBurn has done its job perfectly.

The problem may be in BD stucture. I don't now how its working a BD, yet.

Does the disc play nice reading from BD burner played with a software player like Power DVD or Total Media Theatre? If yes the disc is OK.

If not, try this: Build the image on your hard drive, mount it in a virtual drive and play it in Power DVD or Total Media Theatre.

Does it play nice from the image? If it play nice the structure is OK and the problem is your player.

Note that when I say play I mean the disc as a BD structure not the m2ts from the folder.

I've seen recommended multiAVCHD for authoring.

Hi. Yes it played okay with Total Media Theatre. I get the same problem with multiAVCHD.

Not sure what to do now. The player plays ordinary Bluray discs with no problem.

Oh well back to the drawing board.

Thanks for all of your help.
