You didn't verify the disc.

You could have burnt that to a double layer DVD... might be worth a try.

Can PC programs like PowerDVD 11 Ultra / TMT5 play the burnt disc ok?

I will get powerdvd 11 real quick and check it out but I never verify my discs and I am always fine and also I could burn it to dual layer but I am experimenting with blu ray discs and trying to learn how to burn blu rays becuase if I burn dual layer it won't be blu ray quality will it???

The type of disc you burn to makes no difference to the quality.

If a source BDMV folder is only 4GB, the video it contains will look the same no matter if it's burnt to single layer DVD, double layer DVD or Blu-ray.

ImgBurn burns 'as-is' so 4GB stays as 4GB.

So basically, playback issues are down to your source files (assuming the disc burnt and verified ok).

ok well if thats the case I much rather burn to dual layer just for the simple fact that its easier and I can just hand my buddies a dual layer and I dont have to tell them oh you need a blu ray player so now my question would be do I just burn it the same way add the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders and keep it UDF 250 and hit burn??

You'd still need a Blu-ray player to play Blu-ray content - even if it's not on a Blu-ray disc.

You may even find some won't play Blu-ray content from anything other than a Blu-ray disc.

That bit is trial and error I'm afraid.

I really can't help you with playback issues, you're better off asking people on a different forum.

Lots of people over at the Doom9 forums deal with tsmuxer / multiavchd stuff, give there a try.

A PC player (powerdvd etc) shouldn't care if you have BD video on a DVD DL disc but a standalone might do. I can't tell you what will work / not work, you'd need to figure that out for yourself.

Keeping stuff in BD video format (BDMV folder) is the only way to maintain high def. If you convert to proper DVD Video format (VIDEO_TS folder) you'd lose that.
